Very bad experience
Pros:

The staff was good and the shuttle from the airport worked perfectly

Cons:

I was shocked by the difference between the photos on Booking and the reality. Maybe we were just unlucky with the room.
1. Some of the furniture was broken or simply missing (for example, there was no TV). The furniture was in terrible condition.
2. There were cockroaches in the room and in the hotel corridors!!! In our room they were everywhere.
3. The bed linen had yellow stains.
4. In the corridors there were dried food leftovers lying around (apparently for a long time). Most likely that’s why there were cockroaches.
5. The area is not touristy at all. People sleep outside, right on the roads. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the center by tuk-tuk.

Pros:

Location, rooms and city view from the hotel! The area it is located is prime and one can easily explore all the sights easily by tuktuk.

Pros:

Schönes Zimmer, sauber und gemütlich.
Das personal war sehr freundlich.
Es gibt einige Restaurants in der Nähe.
Da wir nur eine Nacht dort geschlafen haben, bevor wir zum Flughafen gefahren sind, kann ich nicht mehr darĂĽber sagen.

Cons:

Da es ein Hochhaus ist, kann man die Fenster leider nicht öffnen.

Brilliant, would return everytime I'm in Colombo.
Pros:

The staff and owner of this place go above and beyond what is required. I got deathly ill while I was staying here (mind you this was my second stay and I had returned because of how much I liked staying the first time). The staff and owner got me food, got me medicine, and even made me tea when my fevers were too high. It felt like I was being taken care of my own family. I was able to checkout early and return home earlier because of my health issues and I wasn't charged any extra fee. These are good people who are going to make sure your experience goes really well.

I have to especially mention Chathurika who is a part of the reception staff. She is a brilliant hotelier who makes your day a lot smoother, from helping find tours to making sure your room has whatever you need, she gets stuff done in a matter of minutes. In my case she also looked after me even though we barely knew each other when I was sick.

I cannot express how thankful I am to this place, and I would recommend it a million times to anyone who's looking to stay in Colombo. It is very near the city centre and all the hot spots you would want to go to, and yet not smack in the centre so you don't feel like you're stuck in a sea of tourists.

Cons:

Nothing! Everything was great, it's excellent value for money. I was amazed at how huge my room was given how much we paid for it.

Cons:

During my stay, cash went missing from my room after I gave my key to the hotel for room service. When I returned, the door was locked differently than I left it, no service had been done, and 15,000 LKR was missing.

I reported this immediately. The person handling the issue (who later identified himself as the owner’s son) refused to show full CCTV footage and only showed selected clips. When I asked to see the complete timeline, the conversation became uncomfortable and I was told to go to the police.

At checkout the following day, I was finally shown the full CCTV, which included a clip that had not been shown before, of a man entering my room and staying inside for about a minute during the time my key was with the hotel. Despite this, management stated there was “no proof” and attempted to shift responsibility back to me.

What concerned me most was not only the missing money, but the lack of transparency and accountability. Offering reimbursement without any investigation, then withholding evidence until checkout, made me feel unsafe as a guest.

I am sharing this so future travelers understand how serious issues are handled here. For me, this was a safety and trust failure, and I would not stay again.
