Many stairs down to main entrance and many stairs up to bedrooms (essentially rooms are at same level as car park!)
Historic venue with a beautiful room and the best restaurant in Shetland. The only downside was that we only stayed one night — we would gladly come back!
Wonderful location and striking historic building. Comfy large rooms with excellent en-suite facilities. Downstairs lounge lovely for evening pre and post dinner drinks. The biggest asset of this hotel is the staff. They were exceptional in every way. We were so well looked after. Service with genuine attentiveness and care.

At the Bursta house you are treated to a traditional service that is not often found these days. Staff are efficient and very polite and nothing is too much for them.
We loved the property, we just don’t like the function of our knees, there’s quite a few steps 😆

Location, dog friendly, old fashioned, great views. There’s even beautiful gardens with trees 🌲
