Breakfast was what you would expect from a hotel! Good variety and very clean and organized.

Staff was top notch, very friendly and helpful. Always checking to see if you needed anything. I love this place. BRAVO!

It is very clean and easy to access.

We stayed there for a couple of nights before seeing a New Year’s Eve concert in town.

Everyone from the front desk to the maids were nice and welcoming.

This place is 7 or 8 years old but has a good location and very clean. Nice coming areas and continental breakfast has some good options.

The only reason I didn’t give a 5 is because of the dark rooms which was what another reviewer mentioned as well which was the style at the time. And the bed wasn’t uncomfortable but wasn’t the most comfortable I’ve been in either.

Other than that I would stay here again and would recommend.

Springhill Suites Downtown Athens is home away from home. Once you stay a couple of times, the staff remembers you. Though the hotel is about 7-8 years old, it is kept up well and is very clean. The guest rooms can be very dark, which was the design at the time it was built. It is very convenient to the University as well as downtown. The staff is amazing! Alison, director of sales, is everywhere she is needed. She makes each person feel as though they are her favorite. Bri is the new manager of the hotel and has brought her style to the hotel which is nice. Lindsey and Isabella front managers both are very inviting to their guests. I have watched them both begin as a novice and move on to larger roles which they do well. You can't do without the engineers, Dennis and Doug. When needed both are lifesavers to make your stay even better. On the housekeeping in, Anna and Rosa supervisors, go above and beyond. Anna just won the hospitality award for Athens. It seems as though Roseanna and Nora are the ones who usually clean our room and both are so friendly and proud of their work. The main floor is kept clean by Hugo. But when needed, Hugo fills in for whatever is needed. The night auditors Edan and Patrick, may not be seen by many, but if you check out very early, you will see them keeping things straight and making sure your stay was what you expected. The kitchen crew led by Kim does a super job to have fresh hot food. Kathy, Lorraine and Sue with Kim do all they can do to make your breakfast and Tailgate experience a good one. The Bartender Frankie will know your name after she meets you. How she can do the bar and keep up with the crowd is amazing. There are a few front desk people that I have just met, Kevin, Yabbi, Reese, and Jade. I can tell that they too will fall in to being the Springhill Family. There are more at the Springhill Suites, I just don't know their names yet. However, with the culture that the management has, it will be soon when their names will be included as well.
