One of the best places in town, truly surreal. Perched by the cliff, it offers not just a view but an experience. The food is exceptional, and the staff are warm, attentive, and happy to tailor everything to your preferences.

I just returned from a beautiful 4-day trip to Munnar and Thekkady, and I have to share my experience from my last day at Hills and Hues in Thekkady. I was genuinely touched by the level of service, the kindness of the staff, and the delightful food we enjoyed there. It was such a warm and inviting atmosphere, especially when compared to the other places I stayed during the trip, which were far more expensive. It truly made my final day memorable.

We had a wonderful stay at Hills & Hues Resort in April 2026. We were two families traveling together, and overall, it turned out to be a very peaceful and memorable experience.
The biggest highlight of this property is undoubtedly its location and scenery. Nestled amidst nature, the views from the rooms are simply breathtaking—waking up to the misty hills and lush greenery was truly refreshing. It’s an ideal place if you’re looking to unwind and disconnect.
The hospitality was equally impressive. The staff were extremely courteous, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. They made sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay.
The food deserves special mention. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and showcased authentic Kerala cuisine beautifully. Some standout items we absolutely loved were the fish tawa fry, chemmeen (prawn) tawa fry, and beef roast—all prepared to perfection. A special mention to Chef Ram for his humility, warmth, and personal attention, which added a lovely touch to our dining experience.
That said, there are a couple of areas where the resort could improve. The buffet breakfast spread felt somewhat limited and could benefit from more variety. Additionally, maintenance of the property could be better in certain areas to match the otherwise premium experience the resort offers.
Overall, despite a few minor drawbacks, our stay was truly enjoyable. With its stunning surroundings, excellent service, and delicious food, this resort is definitely worth considering for a relaxing getaway in Thekkady. Highly recommended!
