A damage deposit of EUR 200 is required on arrival. This will be collected as a cash payment. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full in cash, subject to an inspection of the property.
A surcharge of EUR 20 applies for arrivals from 19:00 until 21:00. From 21:00 until 23:00, late check-in costs EUR 50. All requests for late arrival are subject to confirmation by the property.

Grounds very impressive....well kept, although it felt like the property was closing up for the season. Views were outstanding.
Dinner first night - very impressive, one of the best meals we had in Veronna. Staff very attentive.
Breakfast next morning - full breakfast - good but overpriced. Staff still attentive.
Perledo night bus worked VERY well to return to the property at night.
The transport (25 E one direction) from the resort to the town or from town to the resort on demand during the office hours worked very well. The hotel might want to consider a shuttle service that operates at specific times during the day.
No heat until we complained the day before we departed
No daily fresh towels until we complained on the night before we departed
Towels we had could not dry as there was no heat. We were supposed to get housekeeping every day but it was almost like they did not know that we were there.
Light breakfasts other mornings - staff did not appear to really want to be there and guests were an irritant.
The resort was more remote from the town of Veronna than I thought it would be. The walk to the village is more like 30 minutes and would be impossible if raining (as it would be too slippery).

Wonderful location above Varenna. Beautiful grounds with great views and vistas in multiple directions. Wonderful onsite restaurant and exceptional welcome from the staff. Our villa was wonderful and we wished we had more time in the area!
You do need a car to get to this place. We had a rental car problem that meant we had less flexibility than we otherwise would have. There was a night bus during the time we were there that really helped but would have enjoyed it even more if our rental car had been available.

We paid a lot of money for a very old and musty house/cottage. It was clean, but the decor was so dated it wasn’t ‘charming’ anymore.

Casa Christina is rather dark and too low for a great view of the lake.
The "Light Breakfast" is terrible - 10 euros for a greasy toasted sandwich, fruit drink and tea. And "not permitted" to take a bread roll from the buffet.

Beautiful rural location. Enjoyed the hike of the property. Room was stocked with wonderful food and drink items. High quality toiletries. Comfortable bed and bedding. Short drive to Pienza and located well for other day trips. Enjoyed the activities offered.
I would have liked the property to be a little closer to Pienza or another town so we could easily have walked to restaurants.
The location in terms of the views was wonderful. The landscaping of the property is beautiful.
The first thing that greeted us when we were lead into our room was a can of raid bug spray! The cottage was not decorated well, very drab, cheap IKEA furniture, etc. It was advertised as having a fireplace, but that was not usable. It was damp and drab. The kitchen came with some coffee and a coffee maker, but no cream. There was no water provided. (The staff did give us a couple of bottles when we asked, though.) We were the only people staying on the property and we had an issue with our flights and could only come from one of our two nights, and they refused to refund us for the one night we were not there. I believe they should’ve made an exception considering all of the circumstances- especially that they were completely empty other than us! The restaurant wasn’t even open! Because it was beforethe season begin begins, and I believe they had just opened. But they should have taken that into consideration when they were asked to waive one of our nights day. We would absolutely never stay at this property again.
