Breakfast was poor.
Close to kokugikan
Close to station
Little old
The location of the hotel is just near Train Station and sumo museum. The breakfast is ok considering the price of the room. Staff are nice.
I think they lack people serving breakfast. They ran out of juice at that time and bread also. They were not able to replenish until I finished breakfast.
Great location, just a short walk from the station and easy to find.
The room had an English written sheet of explanations and every member of the staff that I met spoke English. The room was as expected small but it was comfortable, great for staying if you are staying out touring most of the day, still comfortable enough when killing time before leaving for the day or resting after touring and walking all day.
The free breakfast was the same both days and it was a fairly simple fare, but it was good for a meal to have before leaving for the day or just to tide you over until you eat something else later in the morning.
Would book again, even if just for the location alone.
Nothing here was a deal breaker, but there were a few inconveniences that I found on my stay.
Sadly it has no English namesign on the front or if it has is small and hard to spot when approaching it from the station, making it a bit confusing as another similar named hotel is just across the street. And It is literally across the street, has the same color scheme and I am quite sure that it belongs to the same company, but is a more luxury hotel compared to this one. I honestly think that having the hotel name in English would be helpful.
Not sure if it was just me, but I found the room very, very dry, as waking up in the middle of the night with my mouth horribly dry and with no saliva whatsoever, needing to drink something to be able to even try and go back to sleep. Maybe it was the heating, I also wasn't able to adjust the temperature of the room that I found way too warm for my liking so I left the heating/AC off, which kept the temperature more agreeable for me, yet the air was still very dry.
The bathroom was very cramped, I was expecting it to be small given the business hotel standards, but it felt even smaller than the one that I stayed before, the toilet paper dispenser was lodged against my leg when I used the toilet sitting down and I had to sit in an awkward angle to use it, not a great experience there.
The ceiling was also fairly low in the bathroom, I had very little room above my head to wash my hair and head, also very little room in the bathing area to move around inside it. Again not the best but serviceable enough. Admittedly I am tall and that affects things, but I feel that even a more Japanese average height person would feel that it is a bit cramped.
The breakfast was the same both days that I had it and I don't know if it was because of the time of the year of my stay or it is always the same.
Good breakfast and the view was incredible
One of the neighbours was being loud
確認しなかったこちらも悪いが、喫煙の部屋だった。くさかった。
駅近く便利
値段が手頃
Location is close to JR station, close to the important Tokyo museums. Breakfast was included. The bigger than usual room.
Non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes. Bathroom was below what the rating of the hotel suggested. TV programming is non-existent, in this age of technology, in Japan. Everything was old and outdated. Beds were uncomfortable. Breakfast offerings were very limited compared to all other hotel breakfasts we had in Japan.
You get what you pay for. Great, convenient location. The rooms are a standard business hotel: clean, compact, nothing fancy. AC/heater worked well in my room. Breakfast buffet is extremely simple, but enough to get your day started.
The room was fine; nothing abnormal there. BUT, the lobby had a terrible, smoky smell (like a burnt BBQ smell) stained into its floor and walls. I had to hold my breath when passing through. You can tell that the hotel is pretty old, but that is what you get for the cheap price.
