Good location, comfortable rooms and beds, good onsen
I would recommend hotel and definitely stay here again, only issue was nearby construction, so we heard power tools being used early in the morning.
Breakfast buffet had lots of choices from cereal, breads, rolls, pancakes, cream puffs to traditional Japanese foods. Some variations from day to day. Was very filling. There was a coffee machine which dispensed all types of coffee/latte/capuccino, tea and also broth and corn soup! Ice machines available. 2 floors only with laundry and vending machine. The onset was a nice perk with popsicles in the evening and a yogurt drink in the mornings. We were able to store our luggage before and after. Staff were friendly. You can ask for harder pillows and borrow an iron. Bed was comfortable. Pyjama gown provided. Palo toiletries provided (soap, toner and lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body wash). Bathroom was small but the sink was in a separate area. Cleaning done every twice during our 8 day stay. We could request when it was done. Daily towel and pyjama replacement. Area was convenient and close to the subway and stores. Very walkable. 7-11 across the street. We enjoyed our visit and the room was larger than we expected.
Great place to stay
Lovely hotel. Clean, decent sized beds (the biggest beds we encountered in Japan) and nice buffet breakfast. Would recommend to anyone staying in Osaka who wants to be near Dotonbori
The breakfast was excellent. Personal washroom layout and space could have been better. Space was tight, accessibility pulls could help with tight spaces. Staff were very helpful and understandable.
Incredible experience with clean, beautiful rooms and a great area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and breakfast options were great. Overall, amazing experience.
many shops around
Great location. Staff were helpful when the room air con started leaking and moved me to another room. Complimentary baked goods in the lobby. Good spa, sauna and cold bath facilities. In house laundry was also good value.
We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Hillarys Shinsaibashi and were very happy with our stay. We booked a Standard Double Room, Non Smoking (housekeeping every 3 days). The room was small (as expected in Japan) but clean, comfortable, and affordable, with all the amenities we needed. The only odd detail was that the sink was in the bedroom rather than the bathroom, but it wasn’t a big issue.
The staff were attentive and kind. Our floor (8th) had coin laundry machines and a vending machine, which was very convenient. I also enjoyed the public hot spa on the 13th floor — perfect after a day of exploring. One small suggestion would be to add a reminder sign about bathing etiquette, as some guests may be unfamiliar.
Check-out at 10:00 was smooth, and we appreciated the free luggage storage until the end of the day, which let us enjoy breakfast nearby before catching the shinkansen to Tokyo.
The location is excellent — just minutes from Shinsaibashi Street and close to a Family Mart.
Overall: clean, convenient, affordable, and friendly service. Thank you for making our time in Osaka so enjoyable! 😊
So convenient and close to all shopping. The hotel was clean and smelled so fresh! Would definitely stay here again when we come back to Osaka!
Good location, comfy bed and clean bathroom
Happy Stay of 5 nights at Shinsaibashi. Location is convenient if you are a big fan of shopping. I also very impressed by the buffet breakfast they served every morning. There is enough variety of food, personally, i like the Japanese style appetizers, grilled fish, tofu burgers and more. Great Job, Best Team ever.
There is no coffee in the morning unless you purchase breakfast. It is available at 10 am.
Loved the Japanese breakfast. Hotel was located in a very convenient location and walkable to all the shopping areas.
Clean and comfortable rooms.
Would definitely stay here again!
The area is a bit red light district, we traveled as a family and were in bed by 11 p.m. in the morning the trash was being picked off the street and the smells that lingered in the air were unpleasant. But, this is Osaka and is different from the rest of Japan.
Convenient place to rest while explore rhe woder Osaka area. Very central to Dotonburi, Shinsaibashi, Amerika-mura and Den-den town, which good metro connections to the rest of Osaka. Bed very comfortable. Initially, Ihad worries about small beds, but not the case here.
We have a good time in this hotel. Walking distance to all attractions, stopping, dining and friendly at
Staffs.
Pros:
Good location close to subway stations.
A hot spa is available.
Free coffee, water, tea, and bread are available from afternoon to evening. But i wish there was available from morning to midnight…
Cons:
Staff has poor manners.
Not suitable for business trips.
Unclean.
Noisy.
Overall, my experience during my stay was not as good as I expected.
I asked to make up a room, but it wasn't cleaned properly. A used towel was left on the bed, which I put it on the floor when I went out. Of course, the bed was not made. I called the front desk and asked them to clean the room the next day.
One morning, I was in the hot spa when the male cleaning staff came into the women's area, which was really uncomfortable.
The elevators for guests and employees are not separate. Their employees are quite noisy in the elevator.
The desk in the room had a glass tabletop that required a mouse pad.
During the night, it was very noisy outside. There was a club or bar right in front of the hotel.
The tables for breakfast were terrible; there were several rectangular meeting tables set along the wall, so you had to face the boring, pale wall while eating breakfast. Though there was an area with cafe tables, it was usually full.
It's not suitable for a business trip.
I won't stay here again.
The hotel was in a good area, walkable to Dontobiri and train stations. Rooms are clean as well.
