Fabulous hotel - really enjoyed our stay

Staff

The hotel is located on a quiet side street in bustling Thamel, within easy walking distance of major attractions like Durbar Square (about 20 minutes), as well as restaurants, bars, and shops. My room was very spacious, clean, and had a nice view, the bathroom was clean, and both AC and WiFi worked well. The European-style breakfast is a great way to start the day – and the coffee is excellent. The hotel also offers several tours in and around Kathmandu, but what really makes this place special is the friendly and attentive staff, with special thanks to Rosie for her excellent support during my stay.

The team at Kumari are what make this Hotel worth the stay. All staff are so welcoming, beyond helpful making my stay feel very relaxed and looked after.

Front desk - So efficient at everything! organising activities, transport, all so friendly and happy.
Restaurant - inviting ambiance, delicious meals. Always welcoming and looked after us so well.
Room - Spotlessly clean and very well kept. Pillows are so comfortable!
Location - location is perfectly positioned for easy exploring yet quiet.

Overall, it has everything you need, with the added bonus of a relaxed verandah oasis that we kept coming back to unwind.

Отличное расположение в самом центре Тамеля, при этом в комнатах очень тихо.
Персонал очень отзывчивый.
Комната просторная, чисто, хороший напор воды при том что мы жили на 5 этаже. Классная веранда с видом на город где можно посидеть вечером.
Завтрак стандартный.

Staff and location...always feels comfortable like returning home ... we have stayed here multiple times. Quiet but close to markets and cafes/restaurants. The staff are very responsive to requests.

I had a wonderful stay at the Kumari Boutique Hotel in Kathmandu. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and the rooms are comfortable and well-maintained.
One of its biggest advantages is the location: although it is right in the heart of Thamel, it sits on a quiet side street, making it peaceful and silent—something quite rare in that area.
The staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything. The breakfast is generous and of excellent quality, offering a great start to the day.
For us, this hotel has become a reliable reference point every time we return to Kathmandu. Highly recommended.

Je suis restée plusieurs semaines dont une supplémentaire car mon vol a été annulé suite aux évènements au Moyen-Orient.
Rosy et tout le personnel sont d’une grande gentillesse et toujours prêts à vous aider pour quoi que ce soit.
Le déjeuner était très bon et varié et les chambres impeccables. On se sent comme à la maison !
Ma chambre se situait côté impasse et la nuit je n’entendais même pas un bruit. L’hôtel est dans le cœur de Thamel mais loin de l’agitation de ce quartier touristique.
Vous pouvez aller jusqu’au Durbar Square à pied en traversant le vieux Katmandou, Asan Tole, à 15 minutes seulement, et découvrir ainsi l’architecture Newar.
Si je repasse par Katmandou, je n’hésiterai pas à venir les saluer !

The staff is amazing, so kindhearted and always there to help, entire hotel and rooms so nicely decorated, very clean and delicious breakfast and dinner, very nice view to temple and city

Отель расположен в тупике тихой улицы, никаких мопедов, машин, шума, очень спокойное место. Номера просторные, лучше выбирать с видом на внутренний двор, в номере есть всё необходимое: фен, гигиеничечкие средства, полотенца, горячая вода постоянно, сейф, шкаф с вешалками, кондиционер, фумигатор со средством от комаров,холодильник, чайник, две бутылки питьевой воды 0,9 л. каждый день, окна открываются. Есть генератор, при отключении электричества, подключается генератор и у вас постоянно есть свет. Персонал очень заботливый, это очень приятно. В первую ночь выяснилось, что матрас продавленный в середине, сообщили об этом сотрудникам, на следующий день нам купили новый матрас, такого сервиса не было нигде. Завтраки вкусные, разнообразие небольшое, но всегда есть что выбрать, еда не острая. В номере есть меню для заказа еды, всё вкусное. Если когда-то соберёмся в Непал ещё раз, обязательно приедем в этот отель! Очень жаль, что не обменялись контактами с девушкой на ресепшен, к сожалению даже имя не спросили, которая поменяла нам матрас и у которой есть мечта попасть во Вриндаван. The location, rooms, hospitality, food, atmosphere and super helpful and friendly staff make it an exceptional experience.

Everything about this hotel was amazing. The room was incredibly comfortable and a nice place to rest after exploring the city. The location was great too, since it was just on the edge of Thamel. It felt less hectic, but it was still close to the action.

The biggest asset, however, was the staff. Each person I interacted with was friendly and helpful. When I had an accident and needed help, a staff member offered to pick something up at a pharmacy for me. It was so nice as a tourist to have that kind of support.
