Capsule Hotel Anshin Oyado Premier Kyoto Shijo Karasuma

Sleeping pods are not sound proof (they offer earplugs) and although spacious, not comfortable. I checked out after one night instead of what I had originally booked, cool experience but not great for multiple nights.
The Onsen was clean and so were other facilities. Lockers are provided but if you have a larger suitcase you will have to lock/attach it to a pole.
Certain aspects presented in photos were not accessible to guests, garden area/outside seating.

It was a very quiet atmosphere while I was there, no mingling between guests. Felt like you could hear a needle drop, that was one of my main reasons for leaving! If you’re looking for a place to meet people, this may not be it!

My first time staying in capsule. Better than some dorm I stayed. Good location with all necessary amenities but not inexpensive. Perhaps it was kind of peak season for fall foliage, I paid almost US$60@ for a capsule. One suggestion: the morning breakfast should have more varieties. The additional cost was only US$3@ but I only eat twice out of 5 nights I spent. Each day same curry chicken rice breakfast which honestly wasn't delicious. Most non-Asians (though I am Asian, I prefer bread) are not used to rice breakfast. With enough guests, the facility should invest in some baking equipment for bread/buns/jam/butter.

women bath areas needs repair. I can see black mold on the wall especially at the single shower area. the wallpaper are peeling off from the humidity.

They will charger 1000 yen per day for luggage storage if you are not staying

Decent capsule hotel, with an onsen free to use included. Personally I found the sleep to be a bit rough but that may be just me due to my lack of using these types of hotels. The staff are friendly and its a 15 min walk to the centre

We chose out of curiosity to experience overnight stays in capsules, conditions better than in many average *** hotels. You could say that these are luxury capsules. The cost of accommodation for two people is approximately equal to the price of a good double room in a good location in *** hotel (the bedroom is bit smaller :).
Two public rooms and a terrace with a view of the streets from above, where you can eat, drink or chat.
Capsules spacious, well-equipped, in capsules there are lockers for documents.
The price includes onsen, sauna, very decent breakfast, drinks available all the time.
A very good choice for one or two nights, for travelers of all ages.
I do not recall any inconveniences worth mentioning

Not knowing what to expect, staying in my first capsule hotel, I was absolutely delighted by everything this hotel offered. If you’re looking for a party this is not the place for you. It is quiet and tranquil with a sense of calm as soon as you walk in through the beautiful, Indonesian themed entrance. The staff at the desk were very helpful, polite but warm and friendly. This hotel offers a wonderful onsen, and sauna, with plenty of showers and everything you need, towels, a large selection of shampoos, conditioners and lotions, toothpaste/toothbrushes, blow dryers, etc. There are lots of toilets and sinks and I never had to wait. The relaxing common area provides, coffees, teas and juice etc. and free rice and curries in the mornings and evenings, as well as a wide variety of liquors along with white and red wine from 5 pm on until after midnight, a very relaxing way to unwind in the evenings after a lovely onsen experience. The capsule themselves are quite comfortable and clean. The rooms are extremely quiet and inside the capsule there is everything you need, a hook, shelf, air conditioning, a comfortable mattress, pillow and duvet, soft lighting and a place to charge your phone. The only complaint I had was that the lockers are on a different floor than the capsule rooms but it was a very minor issue. I loved my stay in this hotel, it was comfortable, very close to the metro in a great area and was very affordable in a city that can be a bit pricey. I would absolutely stay here again and I highly recommend it!

Location and facilities were great. It's right near the Shinbashi Station and lots of drinking/eating places around. Amenities were high quality. Spa and saunas were very refreshing. Capsules were pretty spacy. Only negative I can think is elevator area gets a bit smelly from the toilets. Pretty good value with small, fixable issues.

This hotel was amazing! The capsule had a lot of space, the wellness area was very clean with all the amenities you could ask for. It was very luxurious! The location was also great! Everything was walkable!

The facility is so clean, well maintained, friendly staffs, the breakfast is very good, unlimited rice and toppings are plus points. If you love drinking alcohol, alcohols are available at lounge area and it’s free(self serve). It’s worth the price.

Great area and place with nice amenities. Would recommend this to anyone on business trip or quick stay over.

The hotel is extremely clean - very comfortable beds and they thought about every single detail to make the capsules cozy - ideal location in the center of Kyoto with so many nice restaurants right next to the hotel - staff is so kind - really enjoyed my stay

Felt like a college dorm with all amenities provided. Massage chairs, indoor/outdoor onsen, sauna, food for breakfast and late night, soda, coffee, soup, alcoholic drinks, chargers in capsules, different types of shampoos and conditioners, hair products, hair dryer, curling iron, and all other bath amenities anyone would need. Everyone was really quiet and respectful to others.

Everything about the hotel was great other than the fact that there is a very intense mould smell in the men's shower area.
The free amenities offered really make Anshin Oyado stand out.

Besides the fact that each individual pod does not have a lock to the room (you'll need to store your valuables in the lockers), everything here is absolutely amazing! I'll definitely come back again!
