Agréable
Pros:

Excellent value for money.
Pros:

Excellentm . Slight confusion about breakfast times from staff.

Cons:

The layout for breakfast was quite crammed and a larger table would be a simple solution.

Avoid!
Pros:

Stuff was friendly

Cons:

Avoid! When pub will close everyone will stay outside drunk and will shout and scream, some will come back to the rooms and will be so loud.
There is no parking for hotel, you need to find place yourself.
Drinks are very expensive, room need proper refurbishment.
For £130 you can find much much better!

certain staff need further training.
Pros:

i have been to this pub several times now and have always enjoyed the atmosphere and staff however, most recently i have seen a newer member of staff with red hair and glasses, she has been very rude and made uncomfortable comments to people in my life which i find unnecessary - one of them being “would you like that in a wee gay glass” when being asked to make a martini. really unprofessional and i suggest further training.
i would like to add that other members of staff working this particular night were very pleasant.

Some staff are unwelcoming
Pros:

Me and some friends went into the Waverley for some drinks the atmosphere was good and a nice place, however some staff members were unpleasant and unwelcoming. Taking an order seemed to be like a chore for them!! Would suggest some training for the staff to make customers feel more welcomed and comfortable! Hopefully it’s better the next time we visit.

fantastic stay, thoroughly enjoyed and would stay again
Pros:

The room was very spacious, all the staff were very friendly, the food was very good and good value for money, good location even just for a walk along the street to visit the shops in town

Cons:

very minor things like the fan in the bathroom was really noisy, we didn't have a view from our room as it looked over a flat roof but this wasn't an issue for us
