The staff friendlyness
Very tired looking.
Lift was out of order on arrival.
Not enough staff
I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the lovely bar downstairs, and the Full British breakfast was good. The town has a charming atmosphere, and I highly recommend exploring the nature trail around the area, especially the beautiful waterfalls.
While my stay was enjoyable, I did notice that the room was a bit tired and showed signs of the hotel’s age. Although the hotel could use some updates, it has its own unique vibe.
Le haut plafond de la chambre.Decoration simple.Bon reseau Wifi.
Personnel peu chaleureux .
Zentrale Lage, Zimmer gross
Check in war nicht gsnz klar wo. Man muss ins Pub und konnte dann einchecken
Accueil ,la gentillesse du personnel, emplacement, le bar ,le restaurant
Rien
This was a great central location. Both breakfast and dinner were great.
Signage showing where to book in.
Aardig personeel, behulpzaam en lekker ontbijt. Kamer prachtig schoon.
Ontbijt had vroeger mogen beginnen
Location was good, beds were comfy and quiet room despite being linked to a pub.
Rooms need refurbished, there was dusty vents, a hole exposing pipework in bathroom and walls had peeling paint from water ingress. Cables from tv were exposed and there was a mirror hanging from TV on wall. Reception is manned by staff from pub, and they were very busy trying to do both things. Our room was not cleaned when we went out or tea/milk replenished. Although when asked staff did get tea/milk for us. The hotel price for two nights was expensive and not worth what we got.
Staff were lovely
Our bedroom was very small with a wee wardrobe and a small set of drawers sockets very far away from the mirror that was on the wall tea cups and kettle at the window
Pas de double vitrage et au bord de la route donc bruyant.
Clean & comfortable
Staff very friendly
Decor a little tired
Breakfast was excellent very hot so that makes a difference. Room was lovely we were in room 10 but couldn’t get Wi-Fi but not a problem we had dinner and yes once again compliments to the chef
The only thing we didn’t like no not like it was just being on the street which we liked but a very busy and a bit noisy
Convenient location.
Easy & good restaurant, classic greene chain.
Bedding & towels were all clean linen, with extra pillows in the wardrobe that were needed.
Easy access with front door to come & go as you please, friendly staff that we did encounter.
The radiator was easy to use and adjust for what you needed - same with the heated towel rack in the bathroom.
Good pressure in the shower and linens provided.
Overall, it’s reasonably priced for what you have access to.
Limited space in the room itself: there was basically no surfaces such as a larger desk/table - we just had 2 small side units that were hard to reach due to the layout of the room and 1 small drawers at the front of the room.
We believe the cleaners did attend our room as the bed as been tucked back in, but absolutely nothing else had been done to our room such as empty bins, provide more toilet paper or refill the tea/coffee - this was a bit odd so we would have needed to ask for these. The cleaners also never knocked before they came into our room one day, so this was a bit awkward and upon reflection a tad invasive.
There is a lack of space in the bathroom as well, there seemed to have been a shelf in the mirror, which has since even broken & not replaced so we couldn’t fit anything anywhere - the light above the sink also did not work.
If the furniture in the room got updated it would solve these issues for lack of space, and just a quick check-in from staff we wouldn’t have had anything to note here.
Friendly place with welcoming staff. Busy bar with good service. Lunch was just fine. Location couldn’t be better for that short break. This was second visit in a week as enjoyed the first one during a walk of the Rob Roy Way.
