An excellent stay at a reasonable price.
Pros:

An excellent menu for breakfast and dinner, and high standard of cooking. Large bedroom with good facilities. Car parking convenient for access to bedrooms on the ground floor. Extensive grounds suitable for dog owners.

Good value in a comfortable and friendly hotel.
Pros:

Our second visit. Did not disappoint. Had a nice comfortable room, with a walk-in shower as requested. Excellent food. Very friendly and cheerful staff. Enjoyed a drink on their patio in the sunshine!

Wonderfully welcoming team
Pros:

I have passed The Boars Head many times and thought how inviting it looked and this was my first stay. What stood out to me was the team here - from my first phone call, to my arrival, breakfast and check out - everyone was so welcoming.
I had room service dinner - Pan fried salmon with crayfish hollandaise with new potatoes and tenderstem broccoli - served promptly and utterly delicious.
Super comfy bed led to a great night’s sleep 😴.
Breakfast service was quick and attentive. Fresh fruit salad and quality bacon and poached eggs cooked well.
Great stop over - I would recommend staying here and will definitely be staying here again 🤗

Excellent respite in scenic location with great food and friendly staff.
Pros:

Friendly staff, especially Tasha, Jo and Paul. The location paired with the staff and price was phenomenal. The food was excellent also.

Pros:

A very pleasant, short notice stay on a tiring journey after I just couldn't be bothered to drive. Spacious room, very clean and a comfortable bed for a sound night's sleep as well as spacious convenient car parking. Excellent value for money too

The service was okay and the staff were friendly.

Cons:

However, there were several issues during our stay. We booked a deluxe king room, but upon arrival, we were told that pets were not allowed in that room—even though we had checked in advance and confirmed that the hotel is pet-friendly. As a result, we were given a smaller room instead.
The room also had a strong cigarette smell, likely because it was located near an outdoor smoking area.
Additionally, there was no hot water on the first night, which was quite inconvenient.
The breakfast was not very impressive, with no buffet and limited options.
