Horrendous, avoid avoid avoid.
Pros:

Location, we've stayed here a number of years in the past.

Cons:

We have stayed here in recent years, and perfectly located lovely area and the bar and restaurant spot on. This year, the bar and restaurant closed. The people above our room had no respect for any other human. From crashing around until late at night then in the middle of the night at 3am to them waking up and running around at 6am. Very little chance to sleep. Horrendous and you need to avoid avoid avoid.

Could have been great
Pros:

The location is great and the place has fantastic potential. Really enjoyed the layout of the room, spacious and comfortable bed. This could have been such a great stay.

Cons:

The cleanliness and the state of repair could really do with some investment. There was a rug that clearly hadn't seen a vacuum cleaner for some time. The shower was not in a great state of repair. Gaps in the silicone had been exploited by ants (poor things died in their droves as water splashed on them and washed them away but there was no way of preventing that) and the shower hose was broken, so only a fraction of the water ended up where I wanted it.

Lovely short Stay
Pros:

Absolutely loved the room, had everything we needed for a 1-night stay. loved the field behind the place, which offered a lovely evening walk.

Cons:

I think we were under another room, and could hear every single step they took, which isn't the place's fault, as it could have just been a heavy-footed person.

Nice and quiet as hotel being refurbished.
Clean room and four poster bed was a nice touch.

Cons:

Decor felt dated. 1970's shower took ages to produce hot water.
Coffee sachet was awful.

Cons:

I have stayed here several times as it is close to Malory park. The rooms are starting to show their age. Carpets that no longer fit, chipped paint, just generally shabby. I was informed after I booked that the restaurant was closed for refurbishment. OK I will put up with that. Then on the day I was to check in, bye way of a text, I was informed that the bar was also closed. asked twice for a VAT receipt but was not supplied. I will find somewhere else next time.

Comfortable, good location and peaceful
Pros:

Location and it was cool in inside, the beds were comfortable and clean.

Cons:

No facilities were open so no pub or restaurant, however we found another restaurant 5 minutes walk in the village.
