A Night out in Belper
Pros:

Excellent cooked breakfast; a little extra but worth it. Lovely spacious room, great bar and kitchen. The Lion is our "go to" pub and hotel when we are in Belper :-)

Cons:

Not a lot to dislike.

Perfect for a short break.
Pros:

Absolutely a wonderful place to stay! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Lovely facilities - a bar, food available, beer garden and a small courtyard. Staff friendly and polite.

It’s very dated, had to submit my bank card details for security reasons, although this happens a lot as a 58 year old what are they expecting me to do, only 1 towel in the room and smallest shower gel bottle so no foresight to check the room prior to arrival it was clearly booked for 2 people they say hospitality industry is struggling so they should pay more attention to detail sounds petty but it’s important

Great hotel when visiting Belper.
Pros:

Very nice room, great size for the family.

Very reasonably priced bar.

Friendly staff

Great breakfast, at a good price.

Location

Cons:

Ill complain about the boy racers in the Jet garage next door, and there was a car alarm going off for a while whilst the kids were trying to sleep. Neither a fault of the hotel, but once I had given both a long hard stare everything was OK.

Pros:

We stayed in the four poster room which was very spacious.
Loved the central location, close to bars, restaurants and shops

Cons:

Four poster room could do with repainting. Although the room was large with a good sized ensuite the wall paintwork looks very tired.
