We paid £1,445 for 4 nights in what was described as a “Deluxe Hollywood Twin Room” and it was one of the worst value hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The room is absolutely not as advertised. The photos are clearly staged and taken with angles and lighting that make the space look far larger and more premium than it actually is. In reality, it is a small, basic, uninspiring room with no real sense of “deluxe” at all.

There is a huge gap between expectation and reality here. What is shown online is not what you get.

To make matters worse, we discovered during our stay that the exact same room was being sold for roughly a third of the price we paid. While hotels can change pricing, this level of difference is shocking and completely undermines any sense of fairness or trust.

At £100–£150 per night, this might be acceptable. At over £350 per night, it feels like a complete rip-off.

Very disappointing and not somewhere we would ever return to.

Good location and pleasant atmosphere
Pros:

All is fine, but the room is small for 3 people. Challenging to open the suitcases and move around the room comfortably.

Cons:

Staff is polite and kind. Spotlessly clean public areas.Room cleaning every second day .

Pros:

This was a great hotel in an even better location. The staff was super friendly and very welcoming. Check-in process and check-out process was seamless. Would definitely recommend for anyone traveling to Kyoto. Within minutes of bustling nightlife streets and train stations while the hotel was very quiet and serene. Thanks for a great stay!
