Best hotel we encountered this visit to japan
Pros:

Fantastic hotel, from the amazing staffing, daily maiko performance, amenities, spacious rooms, location which is next to a subway (the subway had a delicious bakery). This will be my go to hotel in kyoto going forward.

One of our most luxurious stay during our trip. Would definitely stay again if I get the chance to!
Pros:

One of the most luxurious stays during our trip to Japan. Great facilities, friendly staff (who helped us receive a package with forgotten earphones at our previous hotel), and nice amenities with laundry room and public bath (Onsen). Location was great to explore around walking, only a few blocks away places like Nishiki Market. Sadly we were not able to see their show with Maiko before us leaving — which they were kind enough to let us attend even after our check out time!

Cons:

Nothing. Everything was great!

Classy hotel in a great neighborhood
Pros:

So well run! The onsen was fantastic. Amenities were perfect. The staff was super helpful. The neighborhood was excellent (with the amazing Bar LeCoq down the street). Rooms were super comfortable.

J’ai adoré l’hôtel il était vraiment très joli le restaurant à l’intérieur est un plus quand il fait froid et qu’on veut manger sur place, en plus l’hôtel propose des spectacles parfois nous avons eu la chance de voir une joueuse de saxophone!
Les bains sont bien
La chambre est spacieuse

Cons:

Il y a beaucoup d’électricité dans les portes on s’est souvent laissé surprendre en ayant des décharges électriques en voulant ouvrir la porte de la chambre

Parfois il y avait des odeurs de tabac dans la chambre parce que le coin fumeur est juste en dessous c’est dommage

J’ai choisi cet hôtel pour voir les geishas et j’en ai vu j’ai été ravie ! Mais je m’attendais à un spectacle un peu plus important peut être ne pas faire ça toutes les après midi mais proposer un spectacle 1 ou 2 fois par semaine sur réservation ou avec un coût supplémentaire, mais qui dure plus longtemps peut être 1h, et où nous sommes tous installés car là c’était dans le hall de l’hôtel, les portes automatiques s’ouvraient tout le temps il faisait très froid, il n’y a pas vraiment de place assise pour en profiter et admirer les danses et c’est très court finalement ce n’est que 2 danses et ensuite les photos, il y a beaucoup de va et vient puisque c’est dans le hall d’entrée

L’hôtel est loin du quartier de gion mais proche du centre ville et des magasins

Sehr freundliches Personal und gute Ausstattung. Das öffentliche Bad war sehr angenehm als Entspannung. Die Möglichkeit am Nachmittag die Maiko tanzen zu sehen war etwas ganz besonderes. Klare Empfehlung für Kyoto und gut vom Bahnhof aus zu erreichen. Die Tempel liegen teilweise etwas weiter weg, aber Kyoto ist einfach sehr groß.

A fantastic option for a stay in Kyoto - but please no more "Me and my arrow"
Pros:

Seeing the dance of the Maiko was truly enchanting. Thank you for this wonderful experience!
Staff was incredibly kind. The rooms are nice and even felt spacious in comparison to many other hotel rooms we encountered on our travels. The public bath was really nice but the private bathroom in our room was also beautiful. The amenities corner was great, i liked that they even had body lotion and bath salts. Also, it might be a subtle detail, but there was a very nice scent in the hotel all the time. I was also grateful for the possibility of sending our luggage via Tebura-kun so it arrived at the hotel before we did.

Cons:

We had booked the breakfast option and found it a bit pricey. Minor detail: The playlist during breakfast made me unhappy because it did not have many songs and I had to listen to "Me and my arrow" four days in a row which gave me the worst earworm and a considerable headache. Please think of your poor staff they have to listen to it every day 😭
But apart from that, everything was truly wonderful!
