The area
Nothing because I love it
The location is great as it’s a stone throw away from the beach!!
Location, parking, easy check in, price, no faff, comfy beds, smiley relaxed staff. Plus an excellent amount of teabags and milk in room!
Old carpet throughout hallways, shower room felt very basic and slightly clinical
For the price and location it was very good.
It was a bit rough around the edges, frayed carpet, dubious socket retrofits, cable management.
We had a lovely sea view from our room. Staff friendly and a couple of little extras I asked for with breakfast was no problem.
Scrambled egg was good
Wasn’t keen on pre order and set time
Was very warm even with fan, windows only opened tiny bit because. Of sea gulls.
Lovely place to stay bringing back childhood memories friendly staff and lots of fun, we missed breakfast but they made sure we got teas coffees and a full English brecki and fully fed and fatted 😊 great view of the sea!
Great Hotel, Right on the sea front, We had a superior sea view room ,with bay window, we travelled with Daish Holidays, I am Gluten free, so they are happy to accommodate Celiacs !
Always a good selection of food on offer ,we were bed , breakfast and evening meal, Good evening entertainment each evening, you an also nip next door to its sister hotel, The Russel ,and share there entertainment! All staff are friendly, you can't fault it !
Lovely location, food really good, lovely bright room
Decoration throughout very good, loads of plug sockets in the room, helpful staff. Would like to come back.
Squeaky bathroom door, parking fire alarm going off at 5am due to a faulty sensor.
Lovely hotel. Beds were comfortable. Shower had plenty of hot water. Beautiful sea view.
Food exceptional.
Service was brilliant in the dining room. Can't wait to return.
Location was amazing but hotel very run down stained carpet very uncomfortable beds
Decorating comfort
The staff are all so helpful and polite loved our stqy. The entertainment is good and the food is lovely our roast was really nice.
Our first ever holiday with Daish at the Hotel Prince Regent, Weymouth was superb. Room 105 on the first floor had a great view of the seafront. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. The room and hotel were pretty clean. Evening meals couldn't have been better. For my wife and I the menu was varied. We always found something that we would enjoy eating. Breakfast wasn't so good as the ingredients were not of the best quality ( especially bacon and sausages ). Staff in the restaurant area were brilliant and worked very hard and efficiently. Evening entertainment was also very good. We wouldn't normally bother with evening entertainment when we go away. It was our first time playing bingo for 40 years. Nice to have a quiz too. The live acts were very good although 10-15 years out of our era as most of the people at the entertainment were over 75. By far the best evening was the Elvis tribute artist. He was superb and also had a great sense of humour. They will love him on the cruise ship. The main lady running the bar was excellent and again very efficient.
Minor Problems; 1) The shower did take a long time to get warm and the heavy shower door fell off nearly hitting my toes. The problem with the door was reported to the main reception lady and sorted immediately. 2) As the majority of people wanted to use the lift at the same time ( meal times ) we found the lifts totally inadequate as the most people the lift we found could hold was 4. My wife has difficulty walking up stairs but had no other option than to hobble gingerly up and down the stairs as priority was always people on the higher floors. 3) The young receptionist seemed to have a poor attitude...... 'whatever' with a problem we had with the subtitles on the tv. The young barman wasn't very friendly and was more concerned with his appearance than getting things right with drinks. 4) The cups in our room on our arrival were very dirty and looked like they had been used by the previous guests. We used boiling water and cleaned them. These very minor problems didn't spoil our stay. We would definitely use a coach trip with Daish again. Thank you.
We were pleasantly suprised on the improvements to this hotel. We visited 2 years ago and our room was dated and the food scarce and like warm. Now we stayed in a refurbished sea veiw room which had been done to a good standard. The shower was huge and powerful flow of water. The bed was comfortable and clean. Housekeeping was great too with lots of choice in teas and coffees. The dining room was also clean and comfortable. The food was hot with plenty of choice and cooked well. The staff were extremely friendly too. I actually was considering using a different holiday firm after a poor holiday in their scarbourgh hotel and average one in landuddno this year. But if they keep up with the refurbishment of their hotels and match the quality of food given at this hotel I will continue to holiday with daishes
I had a really great stay at Prince Regent. Booked my room through a different website due to a very low price and without a surprise it turned out to be a very small single room. I upgraded to a stunning double room with a sea view on the first floor for just £15. The room was very spacious and clean and the staff was just lovely all over.
I only stayed for one night but really wished I could stay longer and enjoy the view more!
Myself and my husband went on a coach holiday. Our room was excellent. We paid extra for an upgrade but the room was better than we expected. It was very big with loads of space, it had a lovely view looking out over the beach and sea front. Everything was very clean. We asked for a walk in shower which we got and the bathroom was roomy and very clean also. We were very happy with everything about the hotel, staff in all departments, food was good, and entertainment on 4 nights very good. All in all we had a fabulous 5 day holiday. We are a couple in our 70's and we had a great time.
The room we had, 209, had been refurbed and was clean and in decent condition. Pillow and mattress were good. Window overlooked the sea which was great although ear plugs needed for road noise.
The halls definitely need a lick of paint. Very grubby.
It's a hotel for an older clientele.
