Faulty Towers but still enjoyable - lovely staff and great location
Pros:

If you remember watching Faulty Towers as we do you’ll like this hotel as we did - Staff welcoming & helpful, ballroom & entertainment good, family room a good size & location for us was perfect
Lovely big building with some very nice rooms & fantastic sea views :)

Cons:

Staff overwhelmed by coach trips, we were forgotten at breakfast & they ran out of ingredients, we had to eat it in the bar area due to coach trips, plastic mattress protectors & on pillows add to heat in hot weather. Windows have limited opening capacity ! Overall very clean room but shower in room a little grubby & no air con or fan provided. Children (I presume staffs allowed to sit at reception was not professional)
But saying all this staff quick & polite ready to respond to problems :) they are obviously used to it

Hotel was not what we had hoped. Excellent location. Will not make return visit.
Pros:

Excellent location facing beautiful beach.
Car parking facilities
Sea view - beach opposite hotel
Close to facilities and town

Cons:

Breakfast rather rushed as had to eat after the coach parties finished theirs. Not buffet style, had to order the night before and then they lost our order. Not a relaxed breakfast we had hoped for and didn't enjoy.

Hotel concentrates on coach bookings.
Basic tea facilities offered in room, (no biscuits, no decafe tea/coffee).
Need to have ID with you to book in.

Would have been lovely back in its day
Pros:

Breakfast wasn't included. Loved the location and looked like back in the 1960s it would have been the pinnacle of seaside holidays - stunning old fashioned building, stonework, artworks hung on walls etc. Was great to have parking, even though it had creepy back alley vibes. The info leaflet was very detailed and the room was nice. Would have been a lovely view although was a bit tricky to see as windows not clean.

Cons:

Sadly it looked like some places hadn't been updated or cleaned since its heyday. Shower barely worked, it was just a dribble (3rd floor, so probably not worth turning the pump on). For the price it was alright, I wasn't expecting much so a lock on the door and an ok bed was acceptable. The car park is hidden round the back and doesn't look very safe - the nice lady on reception sent me back out to get my passport and then disappeared by the time I got back which wasn't a very welcoming start!

Amazing see view
Pros:

Spacious room, kettle, comfortable mattress & amazing see view. Availability of free parking is a big bonus as well.

Cons:

Unpleasant smell in the shower room, too noisy toilet cistern when flushing & uneven floor in the room.
