This is an 3 star hotel so I had no high expectations but the level of customer service exceeded them. All staff members were very polite and helpful. We arrived late in the evening and the lift had issues but the lady at the reception was dealing with that on urgent matter as there was guests inside but at the same time giving us un excellent service. Her assistant offered help to carry our bags to our room.
We only stayed for two nights but our room was cleaned on our first morning. This level you don't see in 4 star hotels.
The hotel layout need a bit of improvement and in my opinion all carpets should be removed as that also would remove the small bad smell.
This hotel was orientated for coach guests only but is now open for families too with high potential and a gorgeous swimming pool. The improvement here would be pool service and cocktail offers in plastic glasses for safety. The bar has not cocktail options yet but has all necessary ingredients so a recipe can be easily downloaded and followed.

Furniture damaged, hotel very old and not update for ages, breakfast serve to table so every day same small breakfast. No value for money we pay.
You pay for what you get. Staff were nice. Rooms were average
Fire drill at 2:30am with a young child who was petrified. No explanation was given. Not a great first visit
The hotel was dated and mainly devoted to bus trip guests. We were not given any information relating to meals such as breakfast or evening meal and as these were not offered, we didn’t feel welcome as booking.com guests.
We were misinformed of pool opening times and this led to our sons missing out on the pool. The room was basic with zero internet access- not great when travelling with teens.
Poorly positioned soap dispenser in bathroom which led to an uncomfortable showering experience, due to obstruction and irritating shower curtain.
We wouldn’t stay here again due to the above as it was not suitable for our requirements.
The staff were just lovely and up for a chat and made me feel very comfortable. They provided such excellent hospitality. The room itself was also excellent and was the perfect comfy place to crash after night of raving.
Trying to fill up the kettle and water bottles with a cup on account of such a short sink, but that's infrastructure and you can't do anything about that.
Breakfast was adequate for us. It was nice that tea and coffee pots were already on the table. The times were short and would prefer a bit longer.

Had a great stay at this hotel. Parking was easy and I was greeted by a friendly member of staff at reception. My room was clean and tidy and contained everything I required. I'd definitely stay here again when I'm back in the area.
The hotel was spacious, with very large bedrooms, which was excellent for a family travelling together. The outside pool was also a huge bonus.
All what you need for a break in Torquay. Spacious room just some minutes walk away from downtown. However, keep in mind that it's uphill when coming back. Very good breakfast. Outdoor pool and on-site private parking. Very helpful staff. Just 5min on foot from sailing club.
