Nice place but I felt it was a little overpriced for what it was.
Pros:

The hotel is lovely & in a great location. the staff were friendly & welcoming & the food we had there was very good. There was ample parking & the overflow car park is only a short walk away.

Cons:

The room was fairly small & quite dated. It wasn't up to what I was expecting for the price we paid compared to what we have had in other hotels in the area.

Nice room, indifferent staff and poor afternoon tea.

The room was comfortable and well appointed. I was given an upgrade to a double room which was good.

Cons:

I booked afternoon tea for 4pm on arrival day. Luckily I had a newspaper with me as the tea did not arrive until 4.30. The quality of the tea was not very good. My beef sandwich was inedible, the beef being tough. The smoked salmon was poor quality, as were the small prawns in the cocktail. Strangely, the savoury tea had two sweet items but they were actually the nicest part of the tea. The music was totally unsuitable for the environment consisting of thumps.

I liked where it was, it was very central.

Cons:

The room was very small, the bathroom floor was dirty near the toilet. I expected a bigger room for the price. I was disappointed as this was a gift to my husband.
