The room was comfortable and well appointed. I was given an upgrade to a double room which was good.
I booked afternoon tea for 4pm on arrival day. Luckily I had a newspaper with me as the tea did not arrive until 4.30. The quality of the tea was not very good. My beef sandwich was inedible, the beef being tough. The smoked salmon was poor quality, as were the small prawns in the cocktail. Strangely, the savoury tea had two sweet items but they were actually the nicest part of the tea. The music was totally unsuitable for the environment consisting of thumps.
I liked where it was, it was very central.
The room was very small, the bathroom floor was dirty near the toilet. I expected a bigger room for the price. I was disappointed as this was a gift to my husband.

Love the hotel and Its location. Breakfast is lovely. Although some may think a little dated the hotel is very clean and has a lovely ambience and feel to it.

The room was nice if a bit on the small side,the bed was comfy too. We had an evening meal in the lounge on the Sat eve which was nice and the choice of breakfast was delightful.

The room had a constant greasy smell of extract ventilation from the kitchen.
Bedside cabinet contained the previous occupants underwear.
Breakfast was really good. Location is great too.
Room was tiny could only fit down side of bed walking sideways. Shower was a joke I’m 6ft tall but wouldn’t stay at that height always slipping down. Shower screen a joke had to be inside the bath or else all water dripped onto the bathroom floor. At the back of the bath between it and sink you can see where the water has started to rot the sink unit and the floor. There is no way to control the heating at all so it was really hot even with windows open. View was overlooking the multi storey car park
Feeling safe, warm, in a luxurious hotel. The staff were extremely helpful, and the breakfasts were amazing and delicious. The decor is traditional, which compliments the building and the area of town. Spotless and discreet. I will definitely be booking another weekend
