Not value for money
Pros:

The room and bathroom were spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable.

Cons:

I had stayed there once before and remembered it as much more comfortable. This time staff were polite, but offhand. All the chairs were cleared out of reception in the evening, meaning that there was nowhere to sit in the hotel except the bed. I cannot understand why there was not even a glass/paper cup for water in the room, why a spacious bathroom had such a tiny washbasin or why the bedroom had ridiculously small shelves. Above all I think previously I was won over by the price. This time prices were up and I could have got a room at the Ibis for the same money.

Handy
Pros:

Very central location, 10 minutes walk from station, Crucible and City Hall as well as many varied shops. Plenty of buses and trams right outside.

Cons:

I only stayed one night and I'm not sure that I could have done two. My room had no windows so was a bit claustrophobic, although that did keep the noise to a minimum. The bed was OK but not that comfortable bearing in mind that there is no other furniture at all in the room. I am aware that keeping costs down is vital but only one towel seems a little bit too frugal! I would also have been happy to provide my own tea or coffee if only there had been a kettle! (There is a vending machine in reception but I didn't fancy the trek 1st thing)

Pros:

Nice staff, lovely and clean facilities. Great location aswell. Couldn’t ask for much more

Cons:

Bed was a little uncomfortable and the tv is near enough on the ceiling and only one pillow feels a little cheap

Fabulous, friendly. Comfortable, secure, central and spotless.
Pros:

The staff were so welcoming, the room was spotless and extremely peaceful for a city centre location.

Cons:

The costs were inflated due to a concert we were attending but that’s to be expected.

Pros:

Shawney on reception was extremely helpful. Explained everything really well and helped me arrange my late check out. Great asset to the team. Hotel is exactly as advertised. Perfect if you just need a room to lay your head for the night

Cons:

Could feel springs in my back on the bed but not to a point it was unbearable. It's a budget hotel so wasn't expecting luxury memory foam anyway
