Pros:

Fabulous. Loved every part of this stay. The staff couldn't do enough to help us. Views are spectacular. It is uphill so wear decent footwear. Breakfast was unbelievable. The best I've had in Equador. I plan to stay a few more nights after Galapágos. Top marks!

Wunderbar umsorgt über den Dächern von Quito
Pros:

Die Lage über der Altstadt ist fantastisch, der Blick ein Traum. Das Personal ist außerordentlich zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit.

Cons:

Die Lage bedeutet auch einen langen Aufstieg von der Altstadt, ist aber Teil des Spaßes.

Spectacular VIEWS and excellent service
Pros:

Everything - btfl building, spectacular views from all over, specially the terrace and dining room restaurant. Food is gourmet, excellent cook, the staff, super helpful, specially Chris at the restaurant, James at front desk (has tons of information on all kinds of tours and taxis), and the Manager. Beautiful architecture and interior design - eclectic), always spotless. Rooms are georgeous, top of the line linens/towels, etc.. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. Don't miss the views at night... and, being in the Colonial District: they have PARKING!!!!

Cons:

Perhaps the walk back from the Plaza d Independencia might be hard because of the steep hills, so us "gringos" watch out because of the altitude, u might get short of breath.

Delightful hotel with the best view in Quito.
Pros:

Beautiful hotel in good location and amazing view over the city. Staff are friendly and helpful. Fabulous decor throughout. Food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent.

Cons:

There’s not a huge amount of storage space in the room or bathroom. Also it is on a very steep hill- you need a taxi or uber to go anywhere although fares are very cheap.

Cons:

The clue is in the name. To have a view like this you have to be at the top of a steep hill. Walking back to the hotel will always be a slog.

Only place to stay in Quito !
Pros:

Location is perfect. Best views from your room. Private trips organised by hotel. Breakfast is so nice. Fact that there is dinner served at hotel. Beautiful building of over 150 years old. So beautifully decorated. David hotel reception and tour guide was a star - knowledgeable about his city and culture and the national parks.

Beautiful spot
Pros:

Absolutely beautiful hotel, filled with original artwork and salons , a very good restaurant, and excellent attentive staff. Loved the jacuzzi.

Cons:

It is challenging to walk out from there, as it is on a very steep road. But taxis are view and plentiful.

A wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel

This is our 2nd stay at this beautiful hotel .
Although I would say the bathroom at our 2 stay room was very small & could do with an update.

The restaurant is beautiful & with amazing views. The breakfast was wonderful
The only thing was we felt the room was cold to sit in & needed to keep our coats on. it would have been nice to see the fire lit & woukd also add ambience to the room.
