Overall the stay was acceptable, however I was disappointed with the service handling.

As an Archipelago member I contacted the hotel directly before arrival and was quoted a rate significantly higher than the publicly available online rate for the same room. I therefore booked online instead.

Additionally, I requested a follow-up from the manager at 10 AM the next day, but no one contacted me. This suggests either the message was not passed on or the request was not taken seriously, which is not what I expect from a chain hotel.

I hope service communication and member recognition can be improved in the future.

Staying at Aston Banyuwangi Hotel & Conference Center was a truly pleasant experience from the very first moment we arrived. The check-in process was smooth, fast, and very well organized. The Front Office team welcomed us with warm smiles and polite greetings, making us feel immediately comfortable after a long journey. The staff explained the hotel facilities clearly and professionally, showing genuine hospitality that reflects Aston’s service standards.

The Front Office (FO) staff deserve special appreciation. They were attentive, responsive, and always ready to assist with any requests or questions. Communication was clear, friendly, and efficient. Even during busy hours, they maintained a calm and professional attitude, which really impressed us.

Upon arrival, the bellboy service was excellent. The bell staff helped with our luggage promptly and escorted us to the room while explaining hotel facilities along the way. Their politeness and helpful attitude added a positive first impression to our stay. Small details like opening doors, offering assistance, and smiling sincerely made a big difference.

The room cleanliness was outstanding. The room was spotless, well-organized, and smelled fresh. Housekeeping did a great job in maintaining cleanliness, from the bed linen to the bathroom amenities. Everything was neatly arranged, creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. This level of cleanliness made us feel safe and at ease throughout our stay.

One of the highlights of our stay was the swimming pool. The pool area was clean, well-maintained, and suitable for both adults and children. It’s a perfect spot to relax in the afternoon or early morning, with a calm ambience that helps you unwind after a busy day.

Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was another enjoyable experience. The restaurant atmosphere was cozy and clean, with friendly staff who were always attentive to guests’ needs. The breakfast selection was quite complete, but what really stood out were the live cooking stations. The nasi goreng was flavorful, well-seasoned, and freshly cooked, while the omelet telur was perfectly made according to our preference. Simple dishes, yet executed very well — comfort food at its best.

For dinner, we tried Royale Jade Restaurant, and it was absolutely worth it. The highlight was the beef saus naga, which had a unique flavor, tender texture, and rich sauce that complemented the meat perfectly. The presentation was elegant, and the taste exceeded expectations. The service during dinner was also excellent — attentive without being intrusive.

Another major advantage of Aston Banyuwangi is its strategic location. The hotel is conveniently located near Banyuwangi train station, making it very accessible for travelers arriving by train. This is a big plus, especially for business travelers and tourists exploring Banyuwangi.

Overall, Aston Banyuwangi offers a complete hospitality experience — excellent service, clean and comfortable rooms, delicious food, and a strategic location. A perfect choice for both leisure and business stays. Highly recommended, and definitely a hotel we would love to return to.
