all in all, it was a nice stay with easy accesible restaurants

A hotel that Exemplifies Hamilton accommodations!
Pros:

Cleanliness and modern. One of the nicest beds to sleep on in a long time!!

Cons:

The TV service, but that was WELL looked after by Ethan, the manager.wikk definitely make this location our stay again!!!

great hotel, just wish they placed us in a better area away from all the noise.

The room was great, neat and clean, location was great. The personal was friendly.

Cons:

There was apparently a kids sports event and it seemed that all the kids were on our floor. I would have appreciated it if we were advised prior to checking in that we were going to be on the floor where all the kids were at. These kids ran up and down the passage, shouting at each other and going on as kids do until late into the evening like 11pm. We could not use the pool or gym as its was full of kids for our entire stay. I have no issue with kids staying the hotel. However these kids were not supervised. It would have been better if they placed us on another floor or straight up told us so we could change to another hotel

The price is too high for the property
Pros:

Very outdated rooms , the pool was gross and same with the hot tub. Too much chlorine. Makes your eyes water as soon as you walk in.

Cons:

No comfy beds and have homeless all over

Convenience if location. Restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Access to QWE highway.
Close proximity to other cities and towns.

Cons:

They were not prepared to give us a room that was booked and paid for. This is not new with Sandman in Hamilton. Staff were hesitant and pushed back with their own hotel policy that contradicts Booking.com. Eventually they relented with warning that they were going to investigate "third party policy". It was tense and cast a shadow on our stay as we were there for a family illness that ended in death. Counter staff are not engaging, unfriendly and at times(such as this) and can be somewhat rude considering their function.
