Bel endroit. Accueil chaleureux. Décor soigné. Emplacement idéal, proche du centre.
Just charming boutique hotel
Nous avons trouvé l'emplacement de l'hôtel idéal. Proche du centre, tout en étant tranquille, proche également de l'arrêt du tram.
La chambre était petite mais confortable et la salle de bain très agréable
Lovely location
Nothing ….. breakfast was amazing staff are so nice
The Wilder was the perfect hotel for our long weekend in Dublin. The neighborhood is walking distance to pretty much everything we did and just steps from St. Stephens Green. Our room was nicely furnished and comfortable and the added small things like the welcome treats (snacks in the room and a G&T down in the bar), Nespresso machine, and turn down service added a sense of luxury. We had breakfast included in our rate and it was well stocked with fresh fruit, smoothies, breads, meats, and cheeses. We could also order à la carte. I highly recommend the mini Irish breakfast. Everything was cooked to perfection and you could tell they take care in sourcing their ingredients. All in all I would come back to The Wilder next time we're in town.
Side note: the water pressure was fantastic!
We booked a small double room and the room was definitely tight and lacked storage. That's just one of the downsides to such an old building. We only had carry on suitcases and had enough space to lay them out, but anything more than that and your bag would soon become a tripping hazard. In addition, the shower was quite small with not a ton of elbow room, but the rest of the bathroom was spacious and had enough room to move around.
The location is perfect, we walked to some of the nice places. Nice and clean room, lovely treats in the closet and brilliant breakfast that you can’t miss! Plus the shower is so comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay and if any chance we will go back.
Nothing
スタッフがとても親切でした
部屋が狭かったです。とても清潔でオシャレな部屋でしたが、少し機能的ではありませんでした。
An excellent location and comfortable bed were the only positives
Our room (like all others apparently) had no storage in which to unpack our clothes. The only provision was a small horizontal rail with a few hangers - useless for sweaters and underwear etc. The staff seemed disengaged and unenthusiastic. On our first evening we decided to try the “light bites” on offer in the bar - it was 10 minutes plus in the deserted room before any staff presented themselves. Once food arrived it was adequate but my plate was whisked away before my wife had finished. Our shower was faulty and was duly fixed - we returned the bottle of Prosecco sent by the manager as an apology as neither of us touch the stuff - we were asked if perhaps something else might be offered in replacement but I don’t see it as my role to suggest how the hotel should react to complaints. We decided to give The Wilder a final shot at redemption by having breakfast this morning. We were shown to our table but once our food was served that was the only time a staff member visited our table unprompted. I had to go in search of someone to ask for toast - the 3 waiting staff were all in the bar area talking amongst themselves - both of us ordered poached eggs - all of which were served solid. The field mushroom appeared to have been dehydrated to pulp somehow - all so very disappointing. Not once was I offered more coffee after the initial cup of tepid fluid arrived. Not a single member of staff smiled nor did anyone speak unless we spoke first. I wanted to like the Wilder - we travel frequently and stay in boutique hotels across Europe and without doubt this was the worst we have experienced. I’d rather be able to not live out of my suitcase and forgo the book of haikus on the pillow… “thoughtful flourishes” are pointless if you do t deliver the basics. The Wilder delivered a poor experience at a top end price.
Decor, location, style, breakfast, complimentary G&T offered, hot towel on arrival
It is quite pricey. Very limited car park
Gorgeous hotel- good location and lovely breakfast
Room was very small but with a city break you’re not in the room for long!
Truly lovely, both the common spaces and the rooms. Great design and little touches (like fresh hyacinths in dining room vases) that make all the difference.
The floor in the shower was a bit treacherous.
