Average stay needs a refurb and a clean
Pros:

Good location in the centre of everything not far from the airport and shops, staff friendly and room is big

Cons:

Rooms are very outdated, could do with a refurb and it’s not the cleanest we found lots of dust everywhere and marks on the walls and even a few marks on the sheets.

WiFi hardly works.

Cheap and cheerful
Pros:

Reasonably priced room providing a base for birding Mt Silam only about 25 minutes drive away. Close to various restaurants and a few bars in the near part of Lahad Datu. Above a busy, well-stocked supermarket and near an ATM also. Staff were very flexible about a late checkout which worked really well for us to shower and pack after retuning from a sweaty morning in the jungle on Mt Silam before a late afternoon flight to KK.

Cons:

Difficult to park outside, room pretty small and basic -- but as expected for the price.
