Lovely food in a lovely location.
Pros:

Dinner was excellent. Room was comfortable. Location perfect. Service excellent. Very reasonably priced.
Nice breakfast.

Cons:

Personally I would liked a bit more of a 'continental breakfast' but
what I had was beautiful.

Pros:

Davvero bello

Lovely pub, good food, basic accommodation
Pros:

The staff were really lovely, very attentive, looked after us really well. Lovely pub and restaurant. Food was great.

Cons:

The room was very small and had a musty damp smell. We could also hear the person snoring next door. The rooms are just very dated but adequate for a one night stay.

The room was very compact which was fine for an overnight. The bathroom has a tiny sink which was awkward to use.

Lovely stay in an extremely good value, characterful village pub and hostelry - with scrumptious food and drink!

Fantastic Location Marred by Unacceptable Hygiene
Pros:

The location is absolutely fantastic, and I really enjoyed the morning coffee and breakfast spread.

Cons:

The Shower: Quite frankly, I have never seen a shower so filthy; it literally made my skin crawl.
Hygiene Standards: I have traveled widely, including to countries where water is a scarce resource, and I have never encountered this level of grime.
Maintenance vs. Cleaning: While the building is old, "character" is no excuse for a lack of basic scrubbing. An old bathroom can still be a clean bathroom.
