Absolute gem on the west coast of Scotland!
Pros:

Great location, price, room and staff! The restaurant underneath is a massive plus, all you need after all day exploring is to check in and drop downstairs for a snack before bed.

Authentischer kleiner Pub mit Zimmern

Sehr stimmungsvoller Pub, der eine handvoll süße, authentische Zimmer hat. Befindet sich direkt am Hafen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Abends wurde im Pub Livemusik gespielt.

Cons:

Es ist ein typisches älteres Haus, dass entsprechend hellhörig sein kann und die Treppe könnte bei Mobilitätseinschränkungen ein Problem sein.

Pros:

The staff so friendly and welcoming, room very clean and comfortable , tea/coffee facilities very appreciated, the food to die for . I love fish and the lobster and crab on menu was superb. Our wee dog was catered for too so he was happy . Highly recommend 👌. Well done Anchor Hotel.

Cons:

The spiral staircase was a bit awkward as we both are in our 80s but staff were very helpful with travel bags . That the only minor problem.

Per una notte ci può anche stare...
Pros:

Bella la posizione in un piccolo villaggio affacciato al mare. Comodo se si vuole approfittare del ristorante per mangiare qualcosa.

Cons:

Purtroppo molte cose. Il servizio del personale è molto basico seppur gentile. Il problema è stata la camera...dimensioni a misura di gnomo dei boschi, idem per il lavandino in cui è stato complicato lavarsi la faccia da quanto piccolo, non c'è l'asciugacapelli, niente frigo e come riscaldamento una stufetta elettrica sempre per gnomi. Insomma il prezzo della camera non è altissimo rispetto alla media in Scozia ma richiede adattamento e poche pretese.

Pros:

Probabilmente il miglior alloggio che ho mai trovato nella mia vita. Posizione fantastica, staff gentilissimo, camere semplici ma curate e caratteristiche. Non cambierei una virgola di quello che ho provato. Anche la cena e la colazione presso il pub annesso di altissima qualità con prezzi ultra popolari e piatti di livello. Veramente una esperienza stupenda!

Pros:

Mi è piaciuto molto la posizione. Adoro il mare e dopo cena ho fatto due passi anche se ad agosto faceva un po freddo, ma dopo una giornata in giro per la Scozia ci voleva, con i gabbiani in sottofondo.

Cons:

Non ho nulla da lamentare. Siamo arrivati tardi e andati via presto per cui non abbiamo goduto molto di tutti i confortevoli.

La camera era piccola ma molto accogliente, dotata di tutto. Il personale gentilissimo e molto simpatico, ci siamo fermati a cena al ristorante e abbiamo chiacchierato con le cameriere. La colazione della mattina dopo molto buona. Johnshaven é stata una piacevole scoperta di tranquillità
