The TVs need sorting out as English speaking channels hardly work and only one English channel
The outside areas sadly had groups all vaping or smoking whilst using their mobile phones on speakers at the dinner and breakfast tables
The swimming pool was a delight but it needs staff to prevent people sitting in pool all afternoon loudly talking, whilst drinking with glasses in and around the actual pool space.
Otherwise I would have rated this hotel 10/10.
It’s such a wonderful place to retreat to, you can enjoy a short bit steep walk to the piazza or stay and not even leave the hotel, the choice is yours….
Having to leave, four nights was definitely not enough!

This was a memorable stay, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. If you’re visiting Cortona, this hotel is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!
The manager was very personable and knew my name and said hello everytime she saw me. The staff was excellent, from check in to breakfast, the bar area, spa area, and housekeeping. Our room was spotless everyday. They also arranged for transportation from and to the train station. We loved everything about this hotel!

It’s at the top of the town so a steep climb up to it from the town.
