Nice stay. Great breakfast
Pros:

I love Kington and the hotel location is good.
Breakfast excellent

Cons:

The rooms are getting tired in the main building.

Pros:

Dinner was lovely, fish from the specials board. Cooked breakfast was good and to order. Fruit available but poor selection, but understandable not wanting waste.

Happy to stay here again
Pros:

I had a lovely welcome which is always a good start. All the staff were great.
My food, leek and potato soup and lamb curry were both tasty, but missed that 'something' that makes food great.
Breakfast was good with plenty of options.
My room was very small, but well laid out and had everything you might need.
I'd be happy to stay there again.

Overall, excellent. We came to attend the Hay-on-Wye book festival and it was the perfect location, just a little away f
Pros:

The staff and breakfasts were excellent. We didn’t eat there any other time so can’t comment on their full menu. Breakfast was cooked fresh and delicious. All the staff were friendly and always on hand to answer any questions.

Cons:

We booked a family room for 2 of us. I have to say the double bed did seem a little small. Also the carpets, whilst clean, were stained and could probably do with changing. Also the windows which led out onto a flat roof (and a side alleyway) did not have secure locks. It was a shame the swimming pool refurbishment wasn’t completed but I was notified in advance

Too hot to sleep.
Pros:

Good breakfast. Nice bathroom.
Lift was useful.
Staff were very good

Cons:

The room was unbearably hot until about 02.00. I had to ask for a fan which had to be on all night.
At about 7.30 am, I was woken up by beer delivery lorry.
The worst night I've ever spent in a hotel.

Just an overnight stay but most enjoyable
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent and the young waitress was extremely pleasant and helpful.

Friendly staff, tidy room

Cons:

Shower extremely slow to get hot(at least 4 minutes)and shower head kept falling out of its holder. Water cold in the morning as well.
