Basic self catering accomodation in stunning grounds. Easy to find and access. (Just be aware the fridge in your room is tiny). It is just a room! The hotel functions are no more, which is a shame because it looks like a stunning hotel. Right on the golf course (perfect for early morning tee off times)

Convenient stopping point in Montrose for a visit to friends.
Pros:

We had a large spacious room. Large shower room with huge towels.

Cons:

No staff on duty, and the bar area was closed. Felt more like an air bnb with multiple rooms.

Not what we expected
Pros:

The location is great. Have stayed here often. It is not really operating as a hotel anymore. There are no staff. They do not provide breakfast. We did not see another person during the three nights we stayed here. It is more like an Airbnb than a hotel. Will not be back. Such a shame it is no longer the warm welcoming hotel it once was.

Good location. Nice size room with a comfortable bed. Parking included. Next to a golf course, so quiet and a five minute walk from the beach.
No food available but there is a small fridge and a microwave in the room. They even provide plates and cutlery.
