Pros:

Stunning location on an island 45 minutes from Boca Chica by boat in the middle of a National Park. Off the grid, solar power so it is a chance to disconnect completely. Great use of natural environment in construction and esthetics. The cabins are simple and open air, spacious and are clean. The temperature in Feb. was warm but there is always a lovely breeze. We enjoyed snorkeling and hiking over to Playa Grande. This is a great place for 4 nights or so. Do not expect warm showers, high speed internet and the electricity to work all the time, this is an off the grid experience. It is cash only and the water taxi was 80 USD for two one way. Some other guests appeared unaware of this but it is long ride through a stunning national park. The owner was away during our stay due to unforeseen circumstances the manager took good care of us but his cooking skills were hit and miss. There are a number of animals living on the property including a rescue monkey, rescue parrots, ducks, chickens, a pig and a dog. This is a fairly new property and has potential for the future. We enjoyed our 7 night stay even with the owner away.
