DO NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL!

I paid for my stay three days in advance and contacted the hotel beforehand to inform them that I would arrive one hour late for check-in. They confirmed in writing that they would be waiting for us.

However, when we finally arrived, they told us that there were supposedly technical problems with our rooms and that they had booked two rooms for us at a nearby hotel called Penthouse Hotel. This was a 3-star hotel of a much lower standard than the hotel I had originally booked and paid for.

When I refused to accept this alternative accommodation, the manager informed me that they had given my paid rooms to other guests. Despite having taken my payment in advance, they initially refused to refund my money, refused to contact Booking.com support, and continued giving us conflicting explanations.

It seemed that they were hoping we would simply accept the alternative hotel so they could claim that our booking had been fulfilled.

After more than an hour of discussion, they finally realized that we would not accept this treatment and agreed to cancel the reservation from their side. I also had to contact Booking.com customer support myself, as the hotel staff would not even call support.

This was an extremely stressful and disappointing experience. We paid in advance, informed the hotel of our arrival time, and received confirmation that they were expecting us, only to arrive and discover that our rooms had been given to someone else.

I strongly advise future guests to be cautious when booking this hotel. The way they handled our reservation and the lack of transparency were completely unacceptable. A confirmed, prepaid reservation should be honored, not replaced with inferior accommodation at the last minute.

Good hotel. i would recommend to friends
Pros:

Very close to old town and to some starting point of day tours organisers. Breakfast was good and varied.

Cons:

Breakfast starts too late. If you book a day tours you have to miss breakfast.

Pros:

We really enjoyed staying at KMM
Pros:

The location is good, convenient for public transport and close to the old town. The staff will order reasonably priced taxis anyway so access is no problem. Breakfast is served on the rooftop with a lovely view of the city. There is also outside seating on the terrace for use in good weather. The breakfast was good, the rooms comfortable and the staff lovely. We give five stars to Anni on reception (and her colleague Lena) for their help. Ani was there during the daytime every day we were there and she was always smiling and always helpful. She made our stay very special.

Cons:

The room we had on our first stay was a lovely room but the windows in the bathroom were screened with a net which could be seen through from the outside at night. However the staff have taken this on board and hopefully there will be full privacy soon.
