Staff were very friendly, helpful and always pleasant. Durham is a great place to visit.
Pros:

Great view, comfortable bed and lovely shower.
Microwave, fridge, plates and cutlery were a pleasant surprise with a table to sit at all in our room.

Cons:

Some of the breakfast items needed to be upgraded.

perfekter Aufenthalt in der Kathedralstadt Durham
Pros:

Wunderschönes neugotisches Haus mit sehr nettem, herzlichem Personal. Wir wurden wunderbar mit englischem Frühstück versorgt (lots of brown toast!). Eine perfekte Unterkunft, um Durham mit seiner großartigen Kathedrale zu erkunden!

Lovely old home, quirky decor, large rooms with comfortable bed. Good, on site restaurant and free parking.
Pros:

The staff were outstandingly helpful. The room was large, comfortable bed, great breakfast. It’s walking distance to the old city centre, although steep hills on the way back could be a challenge for some - we walked, but sometimes took Uber. Really good Indian restaurant on premises that accommodates ‘spiciness” preferences. My wife has a much milder spice tolerance than I and we both loved the recommended choices.

Great value and views in Durham
Pros:

Welcoming, friendly and efficient staff. Free parking at the hotel. Large room with a great view of the city. 15 minutes walk to Durham centre. Comfortable beds. Superb breakfast and curry menu looked amazing.

Comfy and pleasant
Pros:

Room was spacious and comfortable and clean breakfast was very good, Anna was very helpful, our 2 dogs were given breakfast each morning which was a nice touch

Cons:

Heating only came on for an hour in morning and night, luckily we had a blow heater with us, the duvet was a double,which was just about big enough, could do with king size

Room was spacious, but prefer feather filled duvets.
Bathroom could be improved with a few more grab rails, but I didn'tspecify an accessible room..

Great place to base yourself in Durham. Very good value
Pros:

Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff

Cons:

We had to ask for the heating to be put in as our room was chilly. The shower head was not in a good condition but they did sort that out promptly.

We really enjoyed our stay and would return if we are in the area again.
Pros:

Great property within walking distance of city centre. Free parking. Lovely decor throughout the property including the room which was also generously stocked with milk, tea and coffee. Excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent Indian restaurant on site.

Das Hotel war super cool eingerichtet. Die Zimmer waren geräumig und modern.
Das Frühstück war das beste auf unserer Reise.
Auch die Mitarbeiter waren alle super freundlich.

Cons:

Die Einfahrt zum Parkplatz war leider für tiefere Autos ziemlich schwierig. Wir haben mit dem Auto aufgesessen und haben dann auf der Straße geparkt.

Location was good for visiting the city. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful

Cons:

Looked a bit tired, particularly the bathroom needs updating. No bath slip mat or bath mat provided (shower over bath) A tray for tea/coffee cups would be better as nowhere to place dirty spoons etc
