Lovely staff, very good breakfast.
Hillly location, hard to get to and fro city centre if slightly disabled.
The breakfast was very good
Couldn’t find a hair dryer in the room
Breakfast excellent , plenty of choice, cooked fresh following your choice. Very good better than I expected . Comfortable dining area and given plenty of time not rushed. Staff very helpful nothing was too much trouble and griendly. Made us feel welcome.
There was nothing I didn’t like but as a suggestion it would have been nice to have a lounge to sit in and chat as we visited with family. The bed. rooms were lovely but didn’t really want to visit the bedrooms.
Excellent petit déjeuner
Nous avons eu une chambre dans l'entretoit dont l'espace était très limité avec un plafond bas.
The welcome from staff, the building is maintained to a high level. It's spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. Many options for breakfast and the dining room is well naturally lit, overlooking the gardens.
All good.
Location is very good, close to the centre of Durham, but still quiet. Good Indian restaurant on-site
No shower curtain or screen on the bath, so the bathroom gets flooded when you take a shower. Mirror in the bathroom is positioned way too high, only a very tall person could properly see themselves in it. None of the towels was clean, all had marks on it (blood-coloured stains), and some even had holes in them. Breakfast was a bit bland.
The attached restaurant did not explain clearly the buy on get one free drink special, so I did not receive it. I did eat at the restaurant, the food was good but the service very slow.
Lovely big rooms, nice cooked breakfast, lots of other breakfast choice, Anna was so nice and helpful. Parking, 10 min walk from centre.

Lovely room (attic) with a wonderful view of the cathedral — and even a bit of the castle! Anna is a great host, and the breakfast was simply the best.
Breakfast good.
Anna was so polite and welcoming and her attention to detail is very good.
I loved it all could not fault it
Great building, location and parking
