Nice clean rooms which are reasonably spacious. Good location for Sentul, close to main shopping mall but short taxi ride to most places, not a lot within walking distance.
Bit pricey for what it is. Not a lot of good eating options within walking distance.
Location, calmness(peace of mind), staff were excellent and very courteous
When food is ordered it is delivered all at once.
Ideally to me shoukd be:
1- Drinks
2- Appetizers
3- Starters
4- Main meal
5- Sweets/Deserts follwed by coffee(should it be requested).
The staffs are so friendly. Room was clean and bed is comfortable.
During breakfast, we need to pay extra if we want to order cappucino while any other hotel provided it for free.
Prijs ontbijt was hoog vergeleken met andere locaties.
The Alana Hotel has excellent facilities — a great gym and a lovely pool. Above all, the staff are wonderful: friendly, attentive, and always smiling. Special thanks to Willy at the bar — he really stands out🙏🏻♥️Very good ice coffees by him as well! The bartenders and reception in general are fantastic. Not everyone speaks English, but that’s ok! The room was very comfortable with excellent air conditioning. Nice place to stay a few days before heading to Jakarta again.
The food is good; the à la carte menu is a bit limited and some dishes tend to run out (tiramisu, raspberry ice cream, chicken saté and lemon grass). This is a point of attention for the person that controls the inventory management but there’s a nice large buffet that changes regularly. The spa is good but only open from 0900-1200 in the morning.

Breakfasts were good although I would have liked an option to have Cappaccino rather than just tea, water, juice. I would also have preferred to have croissants warmed - I did put on in the toaster but it burnt the top and spoilt it a bit. Apart from that the breakfast was a good experience on both days of our stay.
Live Music/Bar on Saturday night we went there and the music was really good. The staff were nice BUT it took almost 30 minutes to get the Bir Bintang and Long Island Ice Tea we ordered. I felt that was far too long.
The reception and bell staff w4ere all very pleasant and very helpful.
The phone in our room 9022 was crackling and it was difficult to hear. After calling the engineer arrived quickly and worked for about 20 minutes. Was a long time before we used the phone again but it was again crackling and difficult to hear when we did.
The room directly above us was very noisy until midnight...I thought it may have been a gymnasium but after asking around I was told it was a guest room so probably just noisy guests on the first night of our stay.
Easy-going and helpful staff, with smooth check-in and check-out. Grab and Gojek transport were also convenient and hassle-free.
The rooms felt dated, and the bathroom was below expectations, with mould on the walls and grout. Our water heater did not function properly, with the temperature constantly fluctuating between hot and cold, which made showering uncomfortable. The minibar lower shelf was filled with water and not well maintained. While the staff were friendly and helpful, overall the stay was disappointing and we would not return.
In addition, Ah Poong Market was not as described in online reviews. there was very little to see or do, which added to the overall disappointment.
