Good rooms close to the beach
We had 2 rooms on the second floor. The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. The hotel is not on the beach but takes 5 minutes to walk across the road and get to the beach. Close enough for us.
Breakfast was a the front of the property and was included in the price. It was a set breakfast and was different for each of the 10 days we stayed there.
We ate out on 2 nights, we went to samantees for a set meal of Sri Lankan curry dishes and that was Fantastic for the price.
The 2 night we ate at the gecko bar, which is where we spent most of our time. Lunch and plenty of beers, they have su beds to lay on here. Again reasonable in cost.
The finally night we ate at our hotel and was told it was BBQ but it turned out to be curry. But it was very enjoyable all the same.

W tym obiekcie nie ma nic co może się podobać. Chyba że muchy brud i pleśń na ścianach.

Great Stay in Abay
We (2 girls) stayed at the Surf and Sand for 6 nights. Mubarak is a nice guy which helps you out in every sitation. He is VERY care taking and wants to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The price was ok for the room and the property was very clean, they took care of the garden and the "lounge". Breakfast was included, which was fantastic, because he changed the breakfast everyday!! Loved it. If you want to have dinner, just let him know, it was really delicious, we had prawns. Our room was perfect for 2 people and the shower worked quite well. The only two negative things i can say (i really need to search for it, because it was a perfect stay) that the room wasnt cleaned once while our stay, but i guess its not common in srilanka. And the water was a bit yellow, maybe that comes from the pipes. To summ it up, i can say, we enjoyed the stay and had a great time.

The rooms are decent standard for the area I think, ac is strong. Breakfast is good

We spent 4 nights here and we had a great time! The room is good, with AC and fan. The bathroom is big too. Special mention to the breakfast! Everyday one different and all were delicious. The owner is really nice too.

Very good hotel

+: Nice clean rooms with air-conditioning and a big bathroom. Staff is awesome and you get a nice little breakfast with coffee/tea and a fruit juice every morning. A one minute walk to the beach and loads of good restaurants around.

Had a great stay!
We stayed in the Surf and Sand hotel for our entire stay. Exactly what we needed, nice, simple, clean rooms with AC. We also appreciated the outside seating area. Mubarak took great care of us, he always organised anything we needed, cleaned our room or washed our towels and clothes whenever we asked for it. He’s a great cook, we enjoyed our breakfasts a lot (usually eggs or sri lankan pancakes with fruit salad and a delicious smoothie). He also cooked dinner for us a few times, which was always delicious. We’re definitely coming back!!

Nice and friendly place at Arugambay

We stayed here for 10 nights and everything was ok. The owner is super friendly and flexible and the breakfast is super good. You can customise breakfast as you wish as well can use the kitchen if you love to cook yourself. Highly recommended!

Excellent location, great rooms and a very friendly host. We had breakfast cooked for us every morning and it was of a very high quality. The owner even cooked us dinner one night which was amazing. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in A Bay

Lovely stay – the place was very clean, with comfortable beds and a good breakfast. The owner was so welcoming, and the cute kittens were a bonus! We’ll definitely be back :)

Obsługa i super śniadanie

Super emplacement à 3 min à pied de la plage et également en pleins centre (restaurants, boutiques…). L’hôte est vraiment très gentil, il nous a organisé le petit déjeuné tous les matins et caler un cours de surf qui était au top ! Petite terrasse également pour chaque chambre.
