Property had a great location for the town and was ideal for a group weekend away. The room was quite spacious and very clean.

Location
loved the building
all was great.
History (& construction) of the building. Very pleasant & helpful staff. Good breakfast.
Restaurant offering could have been more interesting (we didn't eat in)
Im so glad I didnt listen to the bad reviews. The hotel is beautiful. All the down stairs areas are beautifully decorated and the room is so cosy, clean and designed really chic. The receptionist who helped me, Johanna was so lovely. She helped me find a room and check in quickly and easily and just generally made me feel so welcomed. I highly recommend staying here. There are alot of old photos across a few booking sites, but actually every room has now been renovated. For the most accurate photos look on their actual website. Thanks for everything :)
Situation
Rooms poor compared other hotels.
Situation
Room was of poor quality.
Would not stop there again
The property was clean and tidy.
The room I stayed in was lovely but at the front of the building, I found it slightly noisy at night and early morning.
A good central location. Good facilities with a restaurant, bar and café on site. When I checked out I was able to leave by luggage for a few hours while I finished exploring the town.
Away from the public areas the decoration of the hotel is a bit tired. I wouldn't want it to loose it's character by being overly modernised but I think it could do with some refurbishment.
Location, easy check in. Friendly staff.
Everything at breakfast seemed to be on the cold side for us. Food plus tea.
Fire alarm fault in the middle of the night, so unable to sleep. No apology no goodwill gestures for very disturbed and uncomfortable night
Would not recommend
Spent one night at hotel, woken at 3am by faulty fire alarm which continued to go off intermittently for around an hour. When asked for a partial refund next morning point blank refused. Receptionist then went to find manager and had a conversation with her in back office which we could hear.. and manager told receptionist to tell us she wasn't there. Alarm issue was unavoidable how handled next morning dreadful.
it was very convenient location wise and the fact the front desk was 24h. (or at least it was open when I got there after midnight).
The heating was not working. The room was FREEZING. I did not bother to call reception as I was staying for one night only and arrived super late to have just a few hours of sleep before leaving next morning. But when I woke up, I went to have a shower and the water did not get hot. It was ever so slightly getting tepid but heating and hot water I expect as a minimum for the price I paid.
