We learned the property was closed for years and just recently remodeled so hope to see improvements
Pros:

No breakfast which certainly would have been nice and breakfast cafe was closed.

Cons:

many large potholes on pathway around property were a bit scary to navigate,
hopefully it will get paved for driver safety.

But stay at the hotel again, but definitely would not eat at that diner!!

The hotel was great!

The diner sucked. I had the most picturesque fried chicken and when I bid into it, it was like tasting cardboard.

Great atmosphere in the middle of the woods and with a diner and a bar right next to it
Rooms are cleaned and big

Cons:

Walls are very thin, which makes it very noisy! We could hear everything the couple upstairs was doing the whole night

It's got a great history, and opened finally

Cons:

No lodge feel to it anymore..
It feels like a cheap motel..
Creek doesn't run through it anymore, and most everything was closed except the diner...
It still needs millions of dollars to make it back to it's original grandeur like when i was a kid..
