Pros:

It's got a great history, and opened finally

Cons:

No lodge feel to it anymore..
It feels like a cheap motel..
Creek doesn't run through it anymore, and most everything was closed except the diner...
It still needs millions of dollars to make it back to it's original grandeur like when i was a kid..

Super overnight stop in the Santa Cruz mountains

Great hotel with a friendly welcome, large and clean room with a super comfy bed. The adjoining Diner and bar were an added bonus for a great dinner after a long day.

Cons:

Nothing.

Truly a hidden gem in the Santa Cruz mountains.
Pros:

Location, facilities, room with balcony and gorgeous views Free parking, conveniently located close to everything that we needed. The first room assigned to us had a leak and there were towels over the carpet, but the front desk agents took care of it right away and gave us a different room. The diner was awesome! It was like a step back in time with cool retro vibes. The owners were fantastic; delicious and inexpensive food options; the staff was amazing! Very homey and family oriented. We will definitely stay here again!

Cons:

The walls are thin. I could hear snoring from the room next to us as well as heavy footsteps above us. But I could name other hotels that are heavily branded and charge much more with the same issues. Next visit, we could just request for a room on the second floor. LOL.

The staff is exceptionally helpful, the beds and room are comfortable and clean, and the inn has a homey feel to it that
Pros:

It feels comfortable and beautifully set in the mountains. It is very clean and the beds are comfortable. Again this stay, the desk staff was exceptionally polite and helpful. There is something homey about this place.

Cons:

There are a lot of cars going by since it is on the main road.

Pros:

Location, large room, friendly staff

Cons:

Very noisy. In addition to road noise there was a party at the adjacent building (part of the lodge complex) with very loud Latin music and a birthday party till past 10:00 pm. Plus barking dogs and motorcycles roaring.

I enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay again.
Pros:

The Diner was excellent. Wish they would get the bigger place fixed up.

Cons:

The road on the back side needs to be repaved or at least the holes filled in. It is very hard on a small car to leave the property.

Extremely violent neighbor guests - be careful
Pros:

Location is great - I love it

Cons:

Loud slamming on walls late at night , very deliberate violent loud repeated slamming on the walls until late at night . I’m not in good health and am not up for any confrontations with someone acting that violently but I had my phone ready to call police a couple nights , I did talk to other guests who were also freaked out by this. I don’t know what is going on with some people who stay here but I’m not going to be coming back to find out.
