I was very comfortable staying here and would stay here again and recommend the lodge to others

Super clean, very comfortable mattress, friendly and helpful staff, spacious room

If you are going for an event book way in advance for a better price and do not stay in room 218.
Pros:

We went for an event. The redwoods were nice. The staff was very friendly.

Cons:

Pot holes everywhere especially when trying to leave to go to the overflow parking. The room smelled like mold. Had to air it out. I also had my first asthma attack since January 2026 when i stayed in this room. It was either mild or was not properly cleaned after a guest had a pet stayed there. Those are the only times I get asthma.

Such a cozy and lively lodge, we loved the renovations but also loved the appreciated the history of this lodge.

Pros:

The room was modern. It’s an historic lodge with a 1950’s diner

Cons:

Has a balcony but over looks a car park and a very busy road so not really useable. Pool appears to be permanently closed
Nowhere to walk to.
Good curb appeal from the car park but very rough around the back with some demolished areas now used as a car park.

Every room looked to have a balcony that overlooked the bar and parking lot. Beautiful view of redwoods, though. L

The tub was dirty and full of hair. It also didn't drain well.

Pour une étape, c’était très bien
Pros:

La chambre est très grande et très propre.
Le parking est grand avec des places devant les chambres.

Le restaurant en bas est très bien !

Cons:

L’hôtel est sur le bord de route. On peut entendre le trafic depuis la chambre mais ça reste pas trop gênant

We stayed in the room for 3 nights and housekeeping didn't come in to refill coffee supplies or empty bins.
Also, there was a smell of urine coming from the carpet

A bit overpriced for basically just a motel
Pros:

Location was convenient and easy to find. Staff were friendly and helpful and the on-site diner and lounge were convenient and always very busy.

Cons:

The rooms are just fair - standard motel rooms. The one I was in had some odd pipe or wall shifting noise that sounded like a loud pop all night long that kept me up both nights of my stay. Two other people I knew didn't experience this, so it may have been because I was at the very end of the Lodge, but it definitely dampened my experience by quite a bit.
