Very comfortable stay.
Pros:

Staff, facilities, dinner, location, bed extremely comfortable and a good night sleep.

Cons:

Breakfast, room layout as TV too far from bed, bath/shower could be improved.

Lacks any positive warm friendly atmosphere

I didn’t see any staff throughout stay, the rooms were cold, there was no shower curtain and breakfast was a grey affair with food / continental breakfast laid out some time in the night, eaten in a soulless room.

Bathroom. Spa bath with tepid water only, plug wouldn’t stay in unless kept your foot on it and just a black hole where the push button should be for the spa function. Shower also tepid and doors didn’t meet: extraction fan not working.

This hotel has great potential, just lacks attentive staff and attention to detail.

Comfortable bed and room, great nights sleep.

Cons:

Poor directions to the room, lack of attention to detail at evening meal, not a particularly warm welcome at the bar.
No staff in attendance at continental breakfast. In addition to ourselves 3 other couples were uncertain where to sit, what to do and 2 people went into the kitchen which was unattended to get cereal bowls.
This hotel has great potential, just lacks attentive staff and attention to detail.

Too few staff for the number of residential and non resident guests in the afternoon and evening.
Pros:

The breakfast unattended as we found when we wanted tea to drink. After ringing and calling for staff a young lady came in through the front door (a cleaner) who went to fetch some hot water.

Cons:

As you know from the answer above, there was no-one to tell of the precarious condition of the shower door in our en-suite.

Nice place to stay, clean & fresh, it was a single room with a single bed for a business trip.

Lovely building, clean and welcoming, Nice place to stay, I didn't really see staff other than to hand over the key & was told where the room was, rather than shown, no real issue for myself, but would be a nice touch.

Cons:

Not the hotels fault as such, however around 2am, there was a huge door slam in the corridor, I presume a guest coming back late, however the door bangs so hard that I jumped up out of bed, in my mind I was home, so ran to check on our children, but of course I was half asleep, woken by a very loud closing door & then struggled for over an hour to get back to sleep again. I would suggest doing something to ensure that door closes gently. There was a jacuzzi bath, but is was old and difunctional, IMO it should be replaced, even for a new normal bath.

Continental breakfast was poor. We were in room 119 and there was constant noise late at night of staff closing the door next to our room. Don’t know if it was an office???

Buyer beware. Booked for 3 nights left after one. Refunded promptly .

Cobwebs on main light plus flickering when on.
Unattended breakfast room where every table had uncollected used crockery. Unattended reception to seek action for over one hour at breakfast time.
Mould on window frame.
Little recognition of the issues above when raised.
