Cons:

The photos of the room looked nice, but it had an old feel, the humidity was extremely high, and the room was situated 10 cm below the level of the garden. After a night of rain, water got into the room and soaked all our belongings. We never saw anyone from the property.

I stayed in a all female dorm. It was really nice and quite. The hostal is really pretty and a block away from the park.

Cons:

I didn't like that there is a restaurant next to it that is huge empty and plays loud music.

Pros:

La chambre privée avec salle de bain que j’ai louée pour moi seule était très bien et spacieuse. La douche est bien équipée.
Présence de ventilateurs (pas de clim’).
Les propriétaires sont souriants, et généreux.
Ils ne sont pas avares de bons conseils sur tout ce qu'il y a à faire à Cahuita. 👍

Worst experience ever. The whole room flooded and destroyed our stuff!
Cons:

It rained & the room got flooded. We woke up, stepped into water while the plugged in extension cords were on the floor (we got lucky we didn´t get electrecuted). All our stuff (suitcases, electronics, clothes, books & documents) got wet. Some things are destroyed because of the water damage. We had our stuff in the suitcase on the floor because there is no place to put your stuff in the room except for the beds (no table, no closet, nothing)

About an hour after letting the host know about the situation, someone came to help. She was nice and helped get the water out of the room, but as soon as she left the room, it started to flood again.
The problem is not the weather, it's the installations. The house is not built to withstand heavy rain. The water didn´t come in through the door, it filtered through the floor. It wasn´t just our room, but all of the rooms on the ground floor. All the other guests had the same problem. From our understandig, this wasn´t the first time this has happed (someone told us it has happend at least 4 times before)

We couldn´t stay in a room that is constantly under water with all our stuff wet and/or damaged, that's why we had to leave and check out after only one night. The host refused to refund us even parts of ours reservation even though we informed them about the situation and about us leaving as soon as we checked out.
Totally unprofessional! Don´t stay at Secret Garden!

el mejor hostel si vas en bus y bajo presupuesto, 20/10

me he quedado en muchos hostels y definitivamente este ha sido uno de los mejores en los que he estado, contemplando el precio que tiene x noche, generalmente uno piensa que x el precio quizás no será tan bueno sin embargo en este hostel eso no aplicó, desde el personal que nos recibió, además del personal de limpieza, las instalaciones, los espacios para descansar, la naturaleza, tiene cocina compartida , está super cerca del pn cahuita a solo 3 minutos, también de los restaurantes más ricos como soda kawe y cerquísima de la parada de buses, las chicas todas lindas me dejaron guardar los bolsos antes del check in y después del check out, además de hacerme sentir cómoda en todo momento yo que andaba sola, en el hostel hay habitaciones compartidas o solo de mujeres, yo me quedé en la de solo mujeres y fue excelente!!!! ya tengo mi nuevo lugar favorito para hospedarme en cahuita a bajo costo, lo super recomiendooooooo

todo estuvo super bien lo único sería que cuando estuve en la cocina se sentía mucho el olor a orines del gatito, jamás me incomoda el gatito xq me encantan pero x ser la cocina con ese olor a orines sí era un poco fuerte el olor y también que en las mesas de la cocina no me funcionó las conexiones que había abajo para cargar cerca

Très bon emplacement pour visiter le parc de Cahuita
Pros:

Cuisine partagée. Juste à côté de l’entrée du parc de Cahuita. Pas de climatisation mais un ventilateur par personne. Tables pour manger. Hamacs et coin avec jeux.

Cons:

Photos de l’annonce un peu trompeuses : nous n’avons pas dormi dans une cabane.

Les petites maisons en bois sont bien mises en avant sur l'annonce mais nous n'y avons pas droit si nous sommes 4 les chambres familiales sont beaucoup moins belles
