Very comfortable with attentive friendly staff and very good food with excellent seasonal vegetables
Pros:

Breakfast good freshly cooked, hot plates good selection and attentive staff. Extra items offered and refills of toast and drinks

Cons:

Bathroom rather dated and little space for our washbags. Towel rail not convenient to reach from hand basin shower or bath.

Alles gut.
Pros:

Das Haus hat einen wunderbaren Stil und wirkt sehr gepflegt. Für mich ist es immer wichtig, dass alles sauber und ordentlich ist. Das war hier vollumfänglich gegeben.
Wie haben im Restaurant gegessen und waren sehr zufrieden.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay even it was one night. Definitely want come again for longer stay

i had a stress buster weekend at Brickwall Hotel , and it met all my needs. thankyou
Pros:

all meals were actually excellent .! my compliments to the chef and front of house staff.
room 27 and bed were comfortable and clean .
receptionist was very welcoming and helpful .
plenty of free car parking spaces .

Cons:

the en suite bathroom was adequate although very small , even for me ( i'm a small woman).
this could be helped by turning the door round , so that it opens into the bedroom, rather than into the bathroom.
there was not enough space for me to dry myself after my shower , so i had to towel dry in the bedroom .

Friendly, traditional, comfortable hotel in a good location for visiting East Sussex.
Pros:

The staff at the hotel were really lovely; very friendly and caring. As a woman travelling alone to visit family I felt safe and respected. There were people staying at the hotel who clearly come every year, which is a good sign! The hotel has an old-world charm about it, and was comfortable and cosy. I really loved the residents' lounge, which was a nice place to sit and read, as well as to chat with other guests. My room was spotlessly clean and well-equipped and the bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. It felt homely somehow! It's also in a good location for visiting places East Sussex.

Cons:

There really wasn't anything major that I didn't like.

Wonderful due to the amazing and very attentive staff. Our family has been a few times now and they feel like old friend
Pros:

We love the little lounge to the right of reception. The bar is very nice, particularly by the nice fire. And the restaurant is wonderful

Cons:

Some of the bedrooms/bathrooms are a little dated but this is a very minor thing
