Pros:

Location was perfect for getting fast to the slopes. The ski bus stops right at the hotel every half an hour.

The hotel itself is kind of an 'old' build and has a retro feeling, though its all made up by the staff. Everybody was very kind and it felt natural that they want to do a really good job helping you in any way shape or form. We are eating plant based and even though they don't necessarily have a focus on this with previous notice they were happy to provide us plant based food.

We were looking for something 'ok' cost/value ratio, this hotel exceeded our expectations. Thanks!

Zweckmässig, sauber und gepflegt
Pros:

Nahe an der Talstation. Sehr nettes Personal.
Frühstück war klassisch und gut.
In die Jahre gekommen aber sauber und gepflegt.

Cons:

Dünne Wände. Ich verstehe nicht wie man früher solche Wände bauen konnte, obwohl es ja klar war das es ein Hotel ist. Ich möchte Nachts um 23.00 nicht dem Zimmernachbarn zuhören wie er telefoniert.
Duschköpfe wechseln wäre angebracht, ich hatte noch nie so harte Wasserstrahlen, die man nicht verstellen kann ( Luxusproblem, ich weiss ) 😉
Ich finde fast 300 CHF für eine Nacht ein wenig zu teuer. Es lag ja aber in unserer Entscheidung das zu buchen.

Group bookings were well catered for

I would recommend, without hesitation, the Alpina Hotel. I stayed for a week in September with a group of 30 ladies (Trefoil Guild). I was impressed with all the staff who worked hard, were always pleasant, and very helpful. There was a good atmosphere. Our room was spacious, well equipped, with comfortable beds and a good en-suite. The hotel was very clean. We had breakfast and dinner which were very good. Children were obviously welcomed as there were lots of play attractions for them. Whilst the rooms did not have tea making facilities, the attractive entrance area provided facilities for self service drinks and snacks.
The local bus into Adelboden stopped outside the hotel.
