Staff was friendly
Room was deceiving by pictures on website
I had a pit stop driving from Atlanta and needed a quick recharge before heading back home to Houston. As a Bonvoy Gold member, I received plenty of snacks and drinks as a warm welcome, which I appreciated. I do not often see hotels go above and beyond the way TownePlace Suites did. The rooms were freshly cleaned and organized, which was great, but the two air conditioner controls were a bit perplexing. I had to find the controls, though there was a note saying they were by the back of the window. Removing the redundant climate control by the front door would be useful and would reduce confusion. I had a pleasurable stay, and the breakfast bar was really good with a quick-make waffle machine and stellar options. I will consider staying at another TownePlace Suites property in the near future.
The property itself is decent, but it falls short compared to other townplace suites I’ve stayed in. The room had an unusual odor and smell that persisted despite using air fresheners. I’m considering avoiding this location in the future.
Very nice and comfortable!
Had no complaints
Breakfast is always good. Have stayed at this location 3 times as it is a perfect stopping point for our trip to see family
Very clean, quiet location.
Nothing
Big room, kitchen with silverware and refrigerator.
Big dining table.
Awesome breakfast 👌
Everything was fine, Will stay again if we have occasion to.
The breakfast was what you would find in most hotels/motels. Nothing exceptional but OK.
The breakfast was good and the location made entrance and exit to my points easy.
I really have no complaints. The only thing I notice was it was a little warm in the breakfast eating area and that’s understandable.
I was here 4 nights for business at LSU. The hotels in Baton Rouge were a little expensive so the option is to cross the bridge to Port Allen. There are 5 hotels next to each other just off the I-10 exit. Seemed to be a popular place for 18-wheelers as they were parked on the curb up and down the street reducing visibility. You do have to allow extra time for slow bridge traffic but most days it was 10-15 minutes to get to campus. Another downside is no restaurants or bars close by. Just fast food and gas stations.
Some of the negative reviews mentioned dirty rooms but that wasn't my experience. I assume you can request housekeeping but I didn't need it. I agree with some reviewers that the cleaning solutions they use have a strong, unpleasant odor. On the other hand, I got used to it quickly. Would be much better if the hotel switched to something neutral or maybe citrus scented.
My room was fine - nothing special but it was spacious, functional, and comfortable. Breakfast was average - a few hot items, a waffle maker, and cereals, yogurt, etc. Just no bread for some reason so don't expect toast (there were bagels and English muffins).
Definitely good value for the money. I'd stay here again.
The hot breakfast was inedible. The rooms were subpar and old. Everything felt damp. I was very happy to only have to stay at the location to sleep.
