Elephant House Boutique Hotel

Great boutique hotel in the middle of the historic area of Penang. Themed rooms. Lots of stairs if your room is on the 3rd floor! Lobby of the hotel is actually a children's shop. (look for the elephant statues on the footpath). Had a great view of the fireworks at the Komtar Building on New Year's Eve.

Whether is for business trip or family stay, the hotel is not suitable. 1st the most is Car Parking. no allocation park and in front of the hotel is District Car park. very difficult to get car park.

Nice, sweet n simple room.. a touch of somtg diff n extra from other hotel..suitable for short gateway..

Location - it was nearby many food shops , which the famous cendol in lebuh Keng Kwee, just within few minutes walking distance.
Cleanliness - everything in the room were well arranged , overall environment was clean.
Parking - During afternoon , need to see your luck to get nearest parking. Night would be much easier to get parking.
Just a minor thing which is the toilet window cover should make it in thicker material as the current a bit transparent.
Will come back again !

Stayed here for 2 nights and i guess literally it was a good stay.

The theme they have for the rooms are pretty cool. I guess i kind of in love with the bathroom set up they have. Something unique.

It feels home to be frank.

The cons will be no parking lot, you have to aim public parking spot and there is no lift in the hotel, you are require to take up the stairs.

If you are looking for a quiet place in Georgetown this is from far the best choice possible. Close to all the hotspots and very clean and confy with private rooms. Highly recommended for 2-3 days travellers.

We stayed here 2d1 13May-14May 17 5 adults 1 kid (below 12y.o). 3 of us stayed in Santorini Theme room which has 1 queen side bed and a double decker (single beds). Another 3 pax stayed in Hello Kitty Room. The room is cozy and clean (though they are small). We didn't really like the shower/toilet as it has transparent door (not 100% but you can see the movement of one's shadow from outside) which means - no privacy!..unless you are okay with it. No swimming pool. Laundry is available. Small cozy lobby where you can play Solitaire :). All in all it is worth the money. Thank you to their attentive staff too :)

7) 8-10 min walk to Komtar
8) 8-10min walk to Penang 3D Trick Art Museum

and many more! If you hate to walk, you can catch up a bus, rent a bike or call up for Uber/Grabcar!

We stayed here for 7 days as part of our travels and we're surprised at how nice the rooms are, each room has a different theme which adds to that little touch, our rooms were cleaned regularly and all the staff were very friendly and helpful with all our needs, would defiantly visit again if back in penang
