Grand Hôtel de Trestraou

It is an old hotel that needs a lot of up keep. It is on a super location. Our room faces ocean with double door open to a small balcony, lovely, lovely view! Plenty of parking at a secured lot behind hotel. Many restaurant choices along the boardwalk. Afternoon free non-alcoholic drinks in the lobby with picture windows of ocean view, very comfortable and relax atmosphere. Overall a nice experience. Hotel need a lot of upgrading, but I am sure it will be a lot more costly after upgrade.

Hotel needs complete refurbishment. Carpets are worn and faded throughout. The one time grandeur is long gone! On our corridor no lighting, apart from one standing lamp covering the whole corridor. Hate to think about the emergency lighting, or anywhere else in the building. Doors do not close properly and the room facilities are worn.
View from the room good. There is a free facility for tea and coffee in the lounge. We chose not to have breakfast as it did not look much.
Room price, in our case, not value for money. Overcharged, making a comparison to other locations in France we visited this time and over the years.
The owners are in denial. We could write much more, but this will suffice.

Dit hotel heeft een fantastische ligging met een grandioos uitzicht over de baai. Een drankje drinken in de lobby met dit onbelemmerde uitzicht is een ware belevenis. Een van de mooiste wandelpaden langs de kust van Bretagne ligt op loopafstand. Er zijn goede restaurants in de buurt.

Es war eine wunderbare Woche, das Hotel hatte den Charme der 30er Jahren, an der Strandpromenade situiert, und mein Zimmer hatte ein Kleinen Balkon mit Meeresblick. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit.
Die Küstenlandschaft ist einmalig und das Wetter war sehr angenehm.

Un accueil chaleureux avec personnel disponible et à l'écoute.
Une magnifique réception pour ceux qui aiment le style 1900 ainsi que la salle de petit déjeuner.
Petit déjeuner avec vue sur mer. Des viennoiseries,du jus de fruits pressés frais (rare de nos jours),du Far breton,de la salade de fruits et j'en passe. Bref, excellent !
La chambre un peu petite mais avec tout ce qu'il faut. Bonne literie.
Un excellent séjour

Vergane glorie maar erg leuk om te verblijven. Vriendelijk personeel. Ontbijt is wat karig. Uitzicht is fantastisch.

Bon hôtel mais très rétro. Le petit déjeuner est copieux mais il manque de produits salé. Très bonne literie.

Beaucouo trop cher par rapport à la qualité de l’état général du batiment qui est vieillot, les moquettes n’ont plus de couleurs, salle de bains d’une autre époque, lambris mural (cache misère), balcon en bois très détèrioré et parsemé de mégots de cigarettes (non nettoyé par le personnel, parquet de la salle à manger en très mauvais état, le petit déjeuner servit avec des produits locaux (crêpes sous vide bas de gamme, gâteau breton pas frais, idem, achetées à bas prix). Je n’y reviendrai surement pas, trop déçue

Lovely old fashioned hotel right on the seafront. Absolutely beautiful building but could best be described as "faded grandeur". Loved the view from the hotel and availability of tea and coffee in the lounge but the bathroom could do with modernising and the hairdryer was the worst hotel hairdryer I've ever seen!. But my complaints are minor. The style and location more than make up for that.

Large room overlooking the beach. Very friendly staff. Near the trails of the pink granite rock formations.

We extended our stay because we were so comfortable!
