Overall poor experience with this hotel.

JJ at the front desk was very respectful and helpful

Cons:

Initially, we were assigned room 403 and we rolled in around bedtime and went straight to bed. We both noticed that we were sinking into the bed and both struggled to get comfortable and neither us slept well. When we woke up the next day. The fitted sheet and mattress cover had come off the mattress and exposed what looked like blood stains and some the mattress material was coming out of the clearly broken down mattress. We called the front desk and JJ immediately came up to take a look and said that they were in the process of upgrading their mattresses and that we could move to an upgraded suite which we did (Room 301). He had us inspect the bed and OK it before he left. That next day, we attempted to use the Nespresso coffee maker in the room and after several attempts, were unsuccessful. Again, JJ came to our rescue and replaced it with an electric kettle and French press. When we came back to the room that night, we discovered that both tv’s didn’t work. Called the front desk to ask that the issue be addressed and was told that there wasn’t anyone available to do so. I asked that we be compensated due to this and the other issues that we had already experienced and was told that there wasn’t anything that the hotel could do since we booked using Booking.com and not the hotel directly.

Easy on off location from interstate 70. Room was very clean and spacious. The employees were very friendly and helpful.

Red Rocks Rocks!
Pros:

We stayed here with our dog for Goldens in Golden and the staff could not have been any nicer. There were treats for pups and everyone was super laid back. The hotel decor is "upscale mountain" and is really warm and welcoming. Rooms and beds are comfy and well laid out for a multi night stay with extras like a refrigerator. We ate at the restaurant one night and it was very good. Location is convenient to Red Rocks and the interstate but to far to walk to town so you'll need to drive into Golden. There are also large grassy areas to take your dog out.
