Comfy beds and central location
Basic and a bit tired
The meal we had in the bar was lovely.
The breakfast wasn't great. The set up was a bit lazy. No side plate for your toast, it was on the plate with the food. There was no water to help yourself to next to the orange and apple juice. Breakfast itself was ok, asked for a poached egg and wasn't able to eat it as it wasn't cooked properly.
The room was fine but what let it down was the carpet. It didn't fit the room, wasn't fitted properly and was frayed all around the edges.
Room was not huge, but very clean with fantastic view over the bay. Bed very comfortable, big TV, kettle etc. Full length windows a real bonus. En-suite a wee bit small but again very clean and nice shower/bath. Veggie breakfast was huge/excellent and really set us up for the day. No parking, but town square just across road and free Saturday night/all day Sunday - just right for us!!!!
Hotel rates proved excellent value for money.
Reception desk never seems to be staffed - it has it's own access door so gives a cold/impersonal first impression - had to go through to the bar looking for a member of staff - a bell-push or CCTV would be better than nothing.
Room was clean and as described. Tea and coffee provided. Perfect location. Excellent breakfast.
The bathroom is pretty cramped, but fine for 1 night
Right on the beach
Uncomfortable bed. Could benefit with a change of the mattress! The room was freezing cold! I had to ask the stuff for a plug in heater. Had cobwebs in every corner of the room. Extremely cold in the bathroom. I couldn't bear to have a shower. Absolutely freezing room.
Location
Liked it all
Big comfy bed. Near to where I had night out
Shower enclosure opening was very small.
The whole experience was exceptional, staff, location and facility was excellent.
Liked everything.
The amazing view from our window.
The kindness of the girl at the reception.
Last but not least the super breakfast and the inside pub!
The toilet without window.
Our breakfast experience here was a bit underwhelming. The breakfast room felt rather dark and dated, which didn’t quite suit the holiday morning we were hoping for. Additionally, the fact that the lady serving had been vacuuming just before, didn’t create the most welcoming first impression.
While the food itself was ok, we would recommend enjoying breakfast or brunch at some of the lovely nearby cafés right on the beach instead—there are plenty of charming options with great views and a more relaxed uplifting vibe.
