Farmville's best place to stay for the weary traveler
Pros:

The staff was fantastic, especially the night auditors Sierra and James. They were able to give exceptional service during our stay.

Cons:

It's a bit pricey. The facilities are older and there are things that could work better. One example was that our AC controller didn't show any settings, just heat or AC, and the ice machine did not seem to work properly.

The front desk woman at check out apologized for the horror.

Cons:

I wasn’t warned about the condition of the room. Room 124 has a broken off inside guest lock and the door sits about an inch off the ground - which leads to the parking lot and beetles. The bathroom mirror was shattered; bath door was carved up and punched/‘patched’, bathtub was falling apart and dirty; chair was ripped up; floor board had large gap; street traffic was audible through the night (and it’s not a busy town); coffee was brown water. Hotels were sold out so I had to stay.

comfy, nice but food was horrible
Pros:

Had dinner at the pub and it was terrible. I had scallops and they were cold and rubbery. It was served over potatoes and they were also cold.

Cons:

Our room was not cleaned nor given fresh towels all 3 days. Our key stopped working after the first day. The girl at the front desk timed it incorrectly.

Loved staying at the historic Weyanoke in charming Farmville!
Pros:

Great location relative to downtown Farmville and to Longwood University. Clean, quiet, modern, big rooms in an historic property.

Cons:

Would've liked breakfast included in our fare.

Pros:

The room was fresh and clean

Cons:

The bar next door to the hotel was extremely loud with dance music and DJ’s. Couldn’t fall asleep until they stopped at 130am. Also the soaps in the shower were low and needed the front desk to bring refills.

Authentic and Historical Comfort
Pros:

The staff is amazing! Every person I encountered was above and beyond with not only answers to questions but in assuring that our stay was as a great experience. The room was very clean and comfortable. I loved that it was an older building with character and charm. If you are looking for all the feels in a box cutter hotel then this is not your place.

Cons:

The only thing I did not like was the split air conditioner in my room. It kept it cool but not like Central Air. It was a rainy weekend so that could have also played a part.

Loved my room and I look forward to staying there again!
Pros:

I loved my room. The room was very welcoming. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable. The shower was amazing.

Cons:

The breakfast room did not seem to be available. I saw someone walk out with a cup of coffee but the only food I could see was cereal. The room was empty. Very disappointed.

Stayed 2 nights instead of 3.
Pros:

Request for simple room upkeep and face towels were never put in computer, and parking was most inconvenient. No help from desk attendent.
Asked on 2nd day 4 different people for such and 3 informed me it was not in computer. I would defiinitely rate this a a 2 sttar hotel.

We love the Weyanoke and have stayed there on numerous occasions.
Pros:

Nice room. Great location. Receptionist very helpful as we checked out (printing some stuff) All staff friendly. Sitting out on the veranda having coffee in the sunshine.

Cons:

Breakfast tidied away whilst we were still eating even though only 0930.

Room was convenient, but should have been left empty until it was aired out and dry.

Cons:

The room smelled like vomit and mildew, and there were wet spots on the carpet with red stains, that by Monday morning still weren’t dry.
