The Staff was great!!!!! David at the front desk was great and nice all the staffs. The breakfast was ok over all rooms was nice beach walk was perfect 👌🏾..Will stay again A++++
Valet was a little pricey but its ok I guess.
Location
Staff wasnt friendly, room was overpriced , elevator waits were extremly long I took the stairs my entire stay & that was inconvienent especially carrying bags , pool slides out of order , breakfast waits , bathroom fan/vent didnt work so when you showered it was extremly hot. There were out of towels so I had to purchase my own outaide of hotel. Had to pay for a lounge chair on the beach when my room was already extremly overpriced.
The room was clean and had a perfect view of the beach. The staff were polite and helpful. I loved being able to communicate via text.
We asked for an accessible room (intentionally) Our shower was wheel chair accessible ( not a problem) but the design did make the entire bathroom floor dangerously slippery.
The amenities!
The air conditioning!
Everything!!!
Needed more staff at the bar/restaurant the staff was always behind and looked rushed and panicky and we waited a long time for our food and the kitchen staff dropped it off at our table but pizza with no plates then our waitress came by 20 min later and said I’m sorry about no plates kind of a bummer though
It was really nice
Well the signal and WiFi was really poor not good at all
I love that it was ocean front and very clean and that you need your room key to get into the hotel after hours and to go up the elevator to your room
The only thing I didn’t like was that as you pull up to unload your luggage it was a cluster jam. And it was a cluster jam also leaving out. It was a little weird going to the 3rd floor to check in and it not being on the first floor. It would be nice to have a better system in place if your checking in and you go on the elevator to the 3 floor to check in but don’t have a key card to go up on the elevator then you have to wait on somebody to let you up on the elevator. And could have had better toilet paper
The whole thing
Cleaning the room one day my room has skipped and I have to call customer service to send the housekeeping
todo es tubo excelente
el desayuno excelente
Breakfast was awesome staff very friendly and helpful.
The bed could have been a little more comfortable.
It was clean! Easy check in. Valet was wonderful!
Nothing, it was super nice!
Good location nice indoor water park for the kids. Room was clean could've used wall paper reinstalled or replaced in the bathroom. Valet parking was the only option at 25$ a day.
Loved Myrtle Beach. This hotel is right on the beach, has an awesome pool/water park area for the kids. The breakfast buffet is awesome with all kinds of choices and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Bubba the bartender was awesome, not only at pouring drinks but also making conversation.
We recently stayed at Homewood Suites Myrtle Beach Oceanfront for nearly two weeks.
First, I want to recognize Tom, the bartender. He was one of the highlights of our vacation. Every day he was friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what he does. You could tell the property is understaffed and many employees are overworked, but Tom never let that affect the way he treated guests. Hilton is lucky to have him.
We booked this hotel almost entirely because of the indoor water park for our kids. While they enjoyed it, the atmosphere around the pool made it difficult to relax. The staff overseeing the pool were extremely strict and often seemed more interested in policing guests than providing customer service. I completely understand the importance of safety, but many of the rules they enforced weren't clearly posted.
One example that stood out: I was walking beside my toddler in the lazy river while my child was using the required tube. An employee insisted I also needed to be inside a tube and actually tried to place one over me while I was standing in the water. I was simply supervising my child. I've visited many water parks and have never experienced that level of unnecessary enforcement.
The whistles were another constant frustration. Employees frequently stood directly beside guests and blew them as loudly as possible inside an enclosed building. By the end of the day, our ears were literally ringing.
Around the fourth or fifth day, the pool area smelled so strongly of ammonia that our eyes and noses burned. We decided to skip the water park because it no longer seemed clean enough for our family. The following day, the entire indoor pool was drained and closed. We were told it was because a drain had come loose, but the timing certainly reinforced our concerns.
The towel policy was also frustrating. Guests couldn't take pool towels to their rooms, leaving us carrying wet, cold children upstairs. One day the pool was so crowded there wasn't a single available chair. My child sat on a towel because there was nowhere else to sit, and an employee questioned it instead of recognizing there wasn't enough seating.
The elevators were probably the biggest operational issue. On busy days we regularly waited 10–15 minutes just to get on an elevator, then several more minutes because it stopped on nearly every floor. Four elevators simply aren't enough for an eight-story hotel of this size. Not to mention, the housekeepers and staff are also fighting to use the elevators just to do their jobs.
Breakfast ended at 9:30 every morning, which felt too early for a resort full of families. At 10PM every beach/hotel access gate locks, forcing us to walk around the building and beside a busy road in the dark with wet children just to get back inside.
There were also several occasions when the water slides were closed because of staffing shortages. While I don't blame the employees, it's disappointing when amenities that influenced our decision to book aren't consistently available.
For what this resort charges, I expected a much more family-friendly experience. I don't feel like it was worth was we paid. Other Myrtle Beach resorts offer kids' activities and entertainment that make families feel welcome. I also think the website should make it much more obvious that this property does not have an outdoor pool.
Overall, the rooms were nice, the beach location was excellent, and Tom truly made a positive difference. However, the resort feels overcrowded, understaffed, and overly focused on enforcing rules instead of creating a welcoming, relaxing experience for families. Based on our experience, we wouldn't choose to stay here again.
