The Chill at Krabi Hotel

you get what you pay for, pool is dirty and can’t be used..

The staff was very nice and helpful, the hotel was very modern however only offers breakfast so we had to have food delivered for lunch and dinner. Not much in the nearby area you will have to take a taxi to get to Krabi town and about 30 mins from the beach. Mostly I was disappointed by the cleanliness of our room. It was not terrible, however certainly not up to par with what I expected from a hotel. When we first checked in the surfaces in the bathroom were dirty and there were hairs in our towels. The pool left a slimy feeling on the skin indicating algae. When we asked for room service around 4pm they told us the cleaning service was done for the day. Overall we didnt mind or complain though I felt the cleanliness could have been better and the location wasnt great.. we have had much worse stays in Thailand and the staff was very kind which made it better.

From checkin to checkout. All was swift and with ease. Good location as it’s just far enough away from town but not too far away (a car is needed if you stay here). The pool is perfect for lounging around on the hot days of summer.

The staff was friendly but their english wasn’t very well what made the communication hard. The room was big and nice in general but not really clean, glasses and cups were used, there was no soap in the bathroom and the showergel was moldy so it couldn’t be used. Sometimes due to the i guess it smelled really bad in the room. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, you have to tske a taxi to go anywhere.

The Chill is a long way from town and booking a Grab taxi was very challenging with one waiting times. There are no restaurants close by and the hotel restaurant is only open for 2 hours in the morning to serve breakfast.
I cannot recommend this otherwise excellent hotel unless you have your own transport.

Outstanding value for money. 120 Bahts/£3 away from Krabi town by Grab taxi. Modern architectural build, well designed and serving a nice mix of families, couples, singles (me) and nationalities. Try and get a poolside room if you can (there are only 4) you cant beat sliding into a cool swimming pool right on your doorstep, just after your morning coffee. Staff are brilliant. Restaurant was closed, methinks they're losing a revenue stream there given the hotel always had a fully booked sign on reception. Food can be ordered and delivered faster than any room service in the more salubrious establishments, and for a quarter of the price, so fear not you will be fed. For less than the price of a Travelodge, Id give this 11/10 if I could.

The staff was so nice. Surrounding area is quiet.

The hotel is newer and housekeeping does a good job of keeping the place clean. Staff was friendly. The balcony is a nice feature and it's a quiet place.

I had two issues. One was the internet which was extremely slow. But, my main problem with hotel was transportation getting to and from the hotel.

Grab worked beautifully everywhere I visited in Thailand except Krabi. I would wait an hour for a driver to pick up the fare. One night I had to ask a stranger to drive me back to the hotel because no Grab drivers accepted the fare and I was just 8 minutes from the hotel. I was in a dark and isolated area where I could not flag down a taxi or felt safe enough to walk.

If you go to Krabi then get the details of your driver so you can reach out to him/her when you need it. Or, rent a car or scooter to get around.

I was looking for a hotel conveniently located for the Krabi Trail run in Khao Phanom Bencha National Park, this hotel is about 15 kms from there. I found the rooms to be very pleasant and the bed was very comfortable. For the price I paid, this was a very good deal. The hotel is very conveniently located for the airport and has plenty of parking space.

Clean, modern, quiet. Nice rooms, okay breakfast, great pool.

Hotellet: Det var fräscht Och hade en trevlig pool. Lite för få solstolar, när vi var där så var det lite folk på hotellet men hade det varit fullbokat hade det blivit problem. Det sämsta med hotellet var läget. Det var öde runtomkring (Trotts detta lite oljud från väg och grannar) och det var långt till stan. Det gick en ”buss” från hotellet ner till Krabi town för 50 bath/person tur och retur. Problemet med ”bussen” var att den gick hem så tidigt 20:30. Så tog man en sen middag hann man inte med den hem och fick då ta egen taxi (200 bath) eller tuk tuk (100 bath) hem.

Rummet: rummet var i bra storlek. Fräsch och bra toalett. Överlag mycket bra.

Veldig fint opphold! Hadde ei natt her før vi reiste til Bangkok. Gode senger, fine, nye rom. Mulighet for leie av scooter i resepsjonen til en billig penge. Reiste for tidlig til å rekke frokost.

Leuk hotel (nieuw!) met prima personeel. Wij hebben hier verbleven als tussenstop naar koh Lanta.

Het personeel doet echt zijn best maar de taal (Engels) is een probleem voor ze :)

Bra service o ganska nybyggt med shuttelbuss till centrum! Bra bekvämlighet på rummet o tyst!!

Très propre, contemporain et fonctionnel. Accueil super. Services (commande de taxi aéroport, navette pour Krabi Town, location de scooters...)
Un seul regret : l'insonorisation insuffisante car nous avions une famille comme voisins de chambre qui avait décidé de faire de la musique avec ses enfants jusqu'à 22h00. Cela a rendu notre sommeil impossible jusqu'à cette heure là alors que nous avions un vol tôt le lendemain matin.

The Chill is a really nice and modern hotel. We enjoyed our stay here especially the pool! We were on our honeymoon and they covered the bed with petals! The location is quite a long way from anything - 10 minute motorbike drive to Krabi town and 20 minutes from Ao Nang Beach. Breakfast was really terrible sorry! Would have been nice to just have some toast or cereal instead.
