I’d definitely return to stay here
Pros:

Very comfortable rooms. Mine backed on to the A38 but that was not a problem as the windows were soundproof. I was on the 2nd floor. Walkable from the railway station and a short distance to the town centre

Ok but I won’t be rushing back

Cons:

We wanted to book in for evening meal, around 18.30, the restaurant was empty, however then had to wait for the waiter to check if there was a table available. Apparently large due at 8 pm.
Steak 5oz fillet, £30 + and extra £4 pepper sauce was ok, came with chips and burnt cherry tomatoes. No mushrooms, some of pea shoot garnish were yellow. little thought or effort. Bang average really.
No whisky at all behind the bar?
