Location
The loud road noise AND construction noise right next to us in the same hallway!
Comfortable. Great location. Friendly staff
Construction was somewhat disruptive especially the parking situation
Great rooms. Great staff
The bathroom could have been cleaner. The beds in terms of softness was too springy.
Stayed on Fri 5/8 and Sat 5/9 in room 110. Room was clean, and beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly but not helpful. I realize they are under construction but after the workday when the construction crew leaves, someone could pick up tools lying around and vacuum the hallways which were really messy with broken drywall all over the carpeting. I will say the room was very clean with the exception of mildew in the shower.
The real problem with our stay was that on the first night at about 2am, we were awakened by the very loud clanging of the a/c breaking. It sounded like maybe a fan issue because of the loud sound of it. We turned it off as quickly as possible, waited a little while and then tried again. Loud clanging noise, no A/C. We sweated it out for the rest of the first night, not wanting to have someone in the room working on it in the middle of the night.
We had a lot going on the next day out of the hotel, but the next morning at about 9am I politely told the person at the front desk about the A/C breaking and waking us up. She was very nice, apologized and said they would fix it before we got back to the hotel that evening. We gave her our room number. She said just make sure the "do not disturb" tag wasn't hanging outside the door. We made sure of that and left for the day.
We returned very tired at around 8pm and the room was very warm. Tried the A/C, loud clanking noise again and did not work. The hotel did not leave a note or message on the phone about not being able to fix it. I walked out to the front desk to speak with someone and waited patiently quite a while but another guest had cornered the nice fella who was working the front desk. Mostly shooting the breeze conversation, but I waited patiently for about 5 minutes. That doesn't seem like very long but it is when you're feet are killing you, you walked in the rain all day and wanted nothing more than to take a shower and go to bed. I gave up and went back to the warm room. I expected better from this hotel. I'm a Hilton Honors member and always choose a Hilton when we travel. We've never had any issues that weren't responsibly taken care of, or at least explained to us why if they couldn't be taken care of. We're very reasonable people and do not like to complain. We work in the service industry also so we don't say anything unless it is really unbearable. If we could stand the heat, we wouldn't have said anything. It's embarrassing to say, but I'm menopausal and I get hot flashes so this was really uncomfortable for me and made for a bad nights' sleep for 1 1/2 of the 2 nights we were there.
Room was clean
Staff was ok. Not very friendly. Construction was noisy. Good in the morning wasn’t great.
Everything was good no complaints great location great staff pet friendly all good
All good
A room with 2 Queen Beds was reserved. Upon arrival, I was given a room with 1 King and sofa. As this was not what was reserved, I asked for it to be corrected. The front desk worker, Val, was apologetic and explained that they were all booked and they had changed my reservation that day in error. This sleeping arrangement was not acceptable to me, so I asked to be placed at another Hilton property. Val called the manager, Elizabeth Bentley who declined my request, stating that there was a sofa in the room if I required separate beds. I asked to speak with her directly, and she told Val to relay that she was unavailable (despite him standing across the desk from me while talking to her on the phone). I booked another room at the Hampton Inn in Lake George. 3 days later and I have yet to receive a call back from General Manager, Elizabeth Bentley, despite multiple attempts, nor a refund of any kind.
As a frequent Hilton patron and Hilton Honors member, I am extremely disappointed in Elizabeth Bentley's handling of the error made by her staff and overall lack of accountability.
Needed a place to stay for one night to split up the driving from belleayre to gore for a ski trip with friends. I found a handful of places that were close enough to the route, and this was one of them. I ultimately chose this place based on the reviews and location. My group and I were very satisfied with our stay. It was spacious, clean, and cozy.
Overall good, clean hotel with very warm pool. We have stayed here many times. Only complaint was they were out of milk in the morning and I overheard (sure I was not supposed to hear the conversation) the delightful lady in charge of breakfast asking if she could go get some milk (advocating for her customers) and was told no. I was disappointed in the management’s decision considering we paid over $150 for our room. She was professional and came to our table and apologized for not having any milk.
In addition we had to change rooms the night before since the heating unit did not work and when we got to the pool within an hour of close, our key did not work (thihttps://lakeplacidolympiccenter.com/skateamerica/?utm_source=google&utm_campaign=%7Bisuskateamerica%7D&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=%7Bsearch%7D&utm_term=figure%20skating%20events&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23200739976&gbraid=0AAAAAD05mcQNUpd4q1q5wtrohrwSwwrUx&gclid=CjwKCAiAt8bIBhBpEiwAzH1w6YyyNmKFa_FCs3cPonbglMKeyAUEt6QDXll6-uPKn_F_YDU1NXF1BhoCgR4QAvD_BwEnking they have not updated from the clock change). Slightly disappointing experience this time.
Its an all-round good hotel
nothing
What a FABULOUS place to stay. Great mini kitchen with a large fridge.
The room was immaculate. The shower was great! The staff was extremely kind and helpful, and the breakfast was very good! First time I saw fresh baked cinnamon rolls come from the kitchen of a hotel for breakfast!
The next time we come up for a visit we will definitely stay here again.
Nice place convenient location for me. Fair price
carpeting and window blinds need upgrading and replacement
TV system is not user friendly with no wifi available to use my ipad.
The hotel was very clean and staff were very attentive. There were some loud rooms on my floor which is contributed to the National Guardsman that were stationed there for a work detail. The room was very clean and rooms were cleaned as described every other day I enjoyed my stay in. The continental breakfast was one of the best I’ve had lately. The only downfall was the above normal noise being created by the national guardsman, but there’s not much that could be done other than staff patrolling the hallways to ensure the noise was kept to a minimum.
