Extremely Disappointing Stay – Far Below Rotana Standards

Honestly, this has been one of the worst hotel stays we have ever experienced. It is truly shocking to encounter such a low standard from a hotel carrying the Rotana name, especially given our many excellent experiences with the brand in different countries.
The reception staff were extremely unprofessional and showed little regard for guests. Upon arrival, the bellboy took my car key and informed me that I could collect it from reception using my room number. However, upon departure, the receptionist ignored my request completely, leaving me waiting for nearly 15 minutes without any response. After insisting, I discovered that the key had been sitting in the drawer the entire time. This level of negligence is unacceptable.
The room condition was also very poor:
The washing machine was not working.
The bed sheets were old, worn out, and visibly dirty.
The iron was not functioning.
The safe stopped working immediately after use, with the screen going completely blank, putting my belongings at risk.
Additionally, there was a strong and unpleasant sewage smell throughout the corridor on my floor, which was extremely disturbing. This was in stark contrast to the lobby, which smelled clean and well-maintained.
Communication with reception was also frustrating. Calls were only answered after 3–4 attempts, and there was no follow-up on requests. Maintenance for the washing machine took more than 4 hours and was only addressed after we personally went to reception.
We also requested a baby bed at check-in (around 2:00 PM) and were promised immediate delivery. However, after multiple follow-ups, it was only delivered around 12:00 midnight, which is completely unacceptable.
Another concerning observation was that the staff appeared visibly stressed and unable to even offer a simple smile to guests, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere.

Cons:

My stay was disappointing on multiple fronts. The lift serving the 28th floor wasn’t functioning properly, and the shower unit in my room was clogged, causing very poor water flow. The room also smelled of smoke despite being on a non‑smoking floor.
The bathroom had several issues as well — the exhaust fan made a loud noise, and there was an unpleasant smell coming from the gutters.
Breakfast was far below expectations, both in quality and variety. Overall, the experience did not reflect the standards of a 3‑star hotel

Un séjour exceptionnel, alliant confort, élégance et service irréprochable.
Pros:

J’ai absolument adoré mon séjour. L’hôtel est magnifique, avec une vue exceptionnelle, des chambres spacieuses et d’une propreté irréprochable. Le service est vraiment au top, très professionnel et attentionné. Un grand merci à Monsieur Can à la réception, qui a été adorable et très accueillant, ainsi qu’à Batu, Bushra et Ahmed pour leur gentillesse et leur disponibilité tout au long du séjour.

Cons:

Honnêtement, rien à signaler. Tout était parfait du début à la fin.

Pros:

Very nice people and staff! Loved the hotel so beautiful. Honestly the best

Cons:

The language barrier at times made it difficult but most of the time it was okay, and that’s not their fault. This can happen anywhere to be honest.

I My stay and the warm welcome from the staff were wonderful. The hotel was excellent in terms of location and cleanliness. I would especially like to thank Mr. Umut and Mr. Ahmet at the reception, and Musa. They were all very attentive and kind.

Pleasant, felt right at Home
Pros:

Very convenient location,
Close to Mall of Istanbul and great facilities, pool and gym.

The personnel was very welcoming particularly mention to Djila, for costumer relations. Very attentive and always asked if we needed anything.

Cons:

The appartement are on the smaller side.
