Beautiful hotel in stunning grounds. Lovely rooms.
No complaints
Beautiful rooms and fab food .
Could have done with air conditioning
Beautiful building adapted to be a hotel.
No lift to upper bedroom 3 floors up. Obvious Main entrance was occupied by a private party. Signage to reception beneath was poor.
Sunday evening meal service is restricted as the restaurant closes at 19:30. 20:30 during the week. Alternative is another nearby hotel in the chain around a mile away.
No central heating. Bedroom was very hot. A fan was provided. Tea and coffee in the room, but no minibar or somewhere to keep drinks cool
The property is beautifully presented and everything was immaculately clean.
The smallest of gripes, but why out the tea tray in the cupboard? So many hotels do this now - but it’s a faff to get it all out! Also, breakfast was a buffet (there was a full menu of other breakfast dishes also available) and as we were 9.15 ish to arrive, options had depleted. I know another couple mentioned there were no boiled eggs, bread choices, meats had almost gone - and yogurts were the fruit compote sort, so very sugary - a Greek yogurt would be a great addition. The food quality was lovely - but I don’t think this was their full selection.
Couldn’t fault the hotel and the staff , the room was a good size and extremely clean and comfortable . Food in the restaurant was very good .
Nothing
Great location and grounds . Lovely staff
Dinner a bit disappointing . Mussels dry and dessert posset not set . Freshness all around could be better . But dinner service excellent and breakfast too .
Hotel signage not clear on arrival you check in at the bar .
It was our first time at Weston Hall having the afternoon tea but it won't be our last as it was delicious. We loved all the food especially the sandwiches and the scones with clotted cream and jam were exceptional.
Amazing friendly staff and great service throughout our afternoon tea. I would highly recommend.
We visited as part of a birthday celebration. We were lucky enough that the sun was shining as the terrace outside is really lovely to sit on. The outside bar is a great touch too.
The grounds and building were stunning. Plenty of parking.
All of the staff were really lovely and helpful. The lunch time set menu was very well priced but I opted for a roast meat cob and chips. Others in our group had booked the afternoon tea. This also looked lovely although there were a few items missing (scratchings, sausage rolls) and no one came to ask if they wanted a top up of tea or coffee.
I’ve marked it down for a couple of reasons. The smell when you walk in is extremely off putting, I’m not sure if they smoke their own food but the place stank of smoked fish. Secondly, while it’s meant to be cosy, the seats around the bar area for the afternoon tea just aren’t very comfortable.
All in all it was a nice afternoon. As it was a distance to drive I ask myself was it good enough to return? No, I don’t think it was.
Large well appointed bedroom, good evening meal
Commercial radio playing during breakfast
Perfect location for our visit to the showground.
Beautiful ground and property, decorated and finished to a brilliant standard. Staff really helpful, especially with sorting a cot out for our baby. We had a three course dinner at the Cellar and the food was fantastic - some of the best food we’ve had in a while.
Would have liked a kettle and a fridge in our room.
Visited on Thursday 28th May 2026 and was disappointed, the food was average at best with the Spiced Burger being dry and the 10 chips quite frankly an embarrassment considering this must have been the cheapest part of the meal and all of this for £21.00 what a bargain. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive - other than no one asked me how the food was. Their is no disputing that the location and building with the outside seating area is beautiful, but i wont be visiting for food anytime soon which is a real shame as i used to think it was always one of the top 5 places to eat in Stafford.
